I've heard that too. Just hope it will be a reasonable and fair price. Existing customers should receive a good offer from DAZN UK.
Price is irrelevant isn't it? We've went from 1 monthly fee to watch the best boxing in the world to what 4 PPV in a month?
Has DAZN UK not only tentatively scheduled Canelo vs Golovkin III and Eubank Jr. vs Conor Benn as upcoming PPV Events ?
Only sighted them as PPV. But for most people they basically thought this would always happen, so people myself included are fairly confident thos will be the norm
Yes, that's how it will be. Every time Eddie "PPV is killing the sport of boxing" Hearn / Matchroom has a slightly better than average fight it will probably be PPV on DAZN UK.
Next Gen/Spain/Italy as your monthly sub Everything else minimum £8 extra. Anyone paying for this is mental
If Canelo Plant was PPV in the UK, then I would understand why they would put a much bigger fight on PPV on DAZN in the UK, but at that time it isn't worth it and won't do many buys at all. Will do less than Canelo Plant in the UK because DAZN don't have a reliable way of advertising a PPV outside of Joshua. I would actually consider buying the PPV because it's a great fight and would spend the money to watch this fight that has a great undercard over the farce of Eubank vs Benn.
I would have assuming I could watch it live (well DAZN live anyway) paid for the month. No chance I will be paying anything now. Unless people just stop using their product it will only get worse.
PPV is dead Koogz. Also, can’t be bothered finding the clip, but a few years ago Hearn was saying Canelo v GGG would do crap numbers PPV in the UK not sure if it was before the first or the second one.
Never used DAZN to date and never had the feeling that I was missing anything special. The boxing on Sky Sports, BT Sports and Channel 5 is more than adequate for me.
I paid at the start when it was £1.99. As soon as they upped it and announced a set of uninspiring contests I unsubscribed.
My thoughts exactly. DAZN would only work if they had exclusive rights to something - the UFC, Champions League etc - where that’s the only place you could watch it but like you said there’s more than enough boxing on those 3 channels.
