My point is, it isn’t a huge step up for Buatsi because Pascal is no where near the boxer he was when he first stepped upto 175lbs almost 15 years ago.

Pascal has wins over Badou Jack (debatable), Marcus Browne and two months ago defeated Fanlong Meng after a 2 and a half year break. He only has losses to Bernard Hopkins, Kovalev, Eledier Alvarez, Froch and Bivol. Whereas Algieri never defeated a top 10 fighter and was a career 10 stone fighter.
