Did Marciano Ko Walcott with a right or left punch??

First and formost I tip my hat to Rocky Marciano and Jersey Joe Walcott!
For some reason, for the past few years, when I look at the right hook from Rocky to Walcott's left jaw it seems like it knocked Walcott down but possibly Walcottt could have pulled himslf up and could have pulled it together within the count to get the decision Win.

Watching the KO, it is obvious that Rocky positioned himself so the ref could not see or only partially see the left shot to the temple.
If you notice it is only after the late left from Rocky that Walcott goes down for the count.
Was the left legit! Is that the real KO punch??

 

No, it was the right. The left was a glancing follow up but the damage was clearly done with the right.

For all intents and purposes, Marciano KO’d Walcott with the right.

The “see you later” left was not just glancing nor a premed punch Rocky pulled back on. It was a punch launched after the obvious fact of Walcott being down.

It was technically a foul.

 

So the obvious question is did that punch end the fight?
