You are of course correct. I guess I'm just a soft-hearted, altruistic liberal hippie at heart :(

A mainstream opinion! You are a healthy, balanced individual.

Holmes in my view would outclass Coetzee; too slick, too tough mentally, too much movement, too good a jab. A stoppage in about 8-10 rounds is my guess.

Holmes is the more complete fighter and stops him late with a few shaky moments in between

How about those of us with full beards? A comely mustache is outstanding and all, but why suffer from a cold chin and cold cheeks?

This was the match I wanted to see at the time, it would have been interesting but this seems to be a fight that has a unanimous verdict on the outcome. Holmes by TKO around 10-12 . I agree

I think Holmes takes him apart and stops him late. Similar to the Cooney fight

Particularly if it took place in South Africa - huge crowds.

It amazes me anyone would give Coetzee much of a chance against Holmes. The only fights he looked good in were against Spinks (in the late 70s) and a never-was-too-much-of-anything Dokes.

I can see the possibility of him flooring Holmes, but Holmes had a tendency to peel himself back up and smack the crap out of people who did that (that is, until he was 38 and horribly ring rusty).

He drew with Thomas, who Holmes was scared to death of fighting.

I always love when you pipe in, my friend. It makes the world seem somehow right. Things would be very boring without you.

    Really.
