I think they'll have to move him extremely slowly, however I think like you he isn't going to get anywhere near the top of the division. Better putting him into a big domestic fight tbh, sink or swim fight.
Would be fine if he’s actually hurting or at least buzzing guys doing it but it’s just ineffective and turns into a slog for him.
I actually think that Kelly is doing ok. Bastida is a tough *******. It does seem like a big anticlimax following on from the Billam-Smith v Chamberlain fight though.
Kalle didn't sound enthusiast about the Troy Williamson fight, neither did Kelly after Williamson spoke.
CBS-Chamberlain was an absolute war. Credit to both guys. Very entertaining fight. Chamberlain seems to be in a bit of a limbo. Better than British level, not quite ready for European or Commonwealth. Good luck to him though, loads of heart.
Chamberlain is stuck between two weights, too big for LHW and not big enough at CW. If there was a division in the middle he would do really well.
Totally agree. I was at work last night and watched the fight this morning and what a fight ! Both have great honor in delivering a clear contender for the fight of the year in the U.K.
I think it was a conscious choice by Sky Sports. It was important to them that the main event CBS vs Chamberlain started before the Channel 5 / Wasserman show.
Wasserman boxing is in the process of building a new stable, so we probably shouldn't have too high expectations. Having said that, Wasserman Boxing should move their events to Friday nights so they don't coincide with Sky and BT boxing events. Otherwise I agree with you. It was a shame that Mick Hennessy lost his contract with Channel 5.
