Ready to fight for a World Title right now but could be the same age as George Foreman in his comeback before he gets a chance. Hopefully Fury or Usyk give him a crack before facing each other for all the belts.
Och I quite like the big guy. Awkward in front of camera, a terrible $hit talker, plodding, slow. But game as hell, get the feeling he will fight anyone. He has heavy hands, and outstanding engine, a concrete chin. Does he beat the best doubtful. But overlook him at your peril i say
Has anyone heard any rumours who the juggernaut might be smashing next? Really hoping for a tough fight against a well known name.
To be fair and unlike most heavyweights, Joyce has never boxed a fighter with a losing record - debut was Lewinson and then a steady progression through Thomas, Stiverne, Ustinov, Jennings, Dubois, Takam and Hammer. Higher end start than both AJ and Fury.
I really like Joyce, both as a fighter and seems like proper nice guy. I am just frustrated that he always seems to be waiting around. I expected him to step up after the win over Dubois but for various reasons he hasn't. It is obvious that Frank prefers Dubois but time is not on Joyce's side and he can't keep waiting forever for a title shot
Then in his next two fights he beat a big domestic rival and become champ of the world. I don't see Joe beating a big domestic rival and winning a world belt in his next two fights.
Cornish was also 21-0 and expected to be a good domestic level test at that time prior to the Whyte fight
Not to mention Joshua was in his 20s and stil had plenty of time left. Joyce is 35? And closer to the end of his career than the beginning.
Agree my old mate, Joyce fought Ian Lewison on his debut a year after Dillian Shyte had fought Lewison in his 20th fight.
