Demirezen looks so much fatter, which says a lot.

So nice that he almost made Helenius infertile with all the low blows

There is no way Kownacki is 6'3 at 235. He looks way fatter than that, right?

Reasonably entertaining slugfest. Ali's one of the toughest HWs out there right now. Reminds me of a little of a German Chisora. Would give most HWs that aren't top level quite a workout. Atrocious conditioning though. He actually made Kownacki look slim in there.

I was never high on Kownacki but it looks like whatever he had that made his style work in the past is gone now. Don't think it's his chin, more his confidence and ability to step it up in the trenches. He seems a bit gunshy now, while still weirdly having a high output. Just seems to lack that mustard in his shots, or ability to maintain that stifling pressure. Probably needs to retire if he isn't getting anymore decent paydays. His brain is accumulating significant micro-scarring that'll affect him in later years, and I think he's past the point where the financial payoffs will be worth it.

You don't count losses so Helenius is out. But yeah, his resume is ok. I think if he hadn't tasted defeat he'd have gone on to beat a few more okish guys like potentially Jennings or Breazeale. But the Helenius defeats deflated his confidence and I wouldn't bet on him beating anyone that isn't a total plum pudding at this point. I still think fights against the likes of Makhmudov, Bakole, or Zhang would be entertaining though, from a sadistic pov.

He's tough no doubt, but very limited against certain styles. As for Kownacki he needs to either drop down a level or try to pick opponents he has a good chance of knocking out. Someone like Breazeale would be tailor made for him if he still has anything left, or Trevor Bryan.

Jalalov or Dychko could use him as a nice step up.

The way I see it, there's demand for him and he's still entertaining. He has to decide though if he has taken too many punches to affect his health, only he can decide that. He's not old either so they could still work on and fine tune some things in the ring for better defense and most important to use strategy.
He needs to use fights, training, sparring etc, as practice to strategically improve in different areas, one thing at a time. As he's a volume fighter, they need to set goals for a lower weight, for example 240, then 230's. Don't throw all your punches in the first 2 rounds then get tired. He was very effective when he stepped back a little, needs more head movement, more jabs. It can be strategically improved little by little. It's either that or call it a day. I'm a believer that anyone can improve with the right training and prep. Supposed to get wiser with experience.

Kownacki should have just gone in against Joshua when he was offered the fight after Miller tested positive. I never understand these guys who turn down title shots. David Price was the same when he was undefeated and could have pushed for a Klitchko fight when he was attending a Wlad fight but he was just happy to be in the audience. I guess these guys deep down understand they are limited and have no confidence in themselves at that level.

He said in 2019 before the Arreola fight he regretted not taking the fight with AJ. He blamed it on not being in shape to take the fight on 5 weeks notice, saying he would not make the same mistake and ensure he was in shape year round so he could take these opportunities on short notice if they should be offered. He then ironically showed up against Arreola at a career high weight, lol.
