It's weird because I could name a billion pro world champions who lost to lesser fighters in the amateurs

He's not as slow as you think and he wouldn't even need to land clean to do serious damage. Not saying he beats guys of that caliber but I do know for sure he'd flatten them if he did catch them clean

You say similar disparaging things about the current three-belt unified LHW champion Beterbiev aka Mr KO 100% too and you underrate his speed and skills

Fights nothing like Wilder. He actually knows how to set up his power shots for one. Two, he's not just a one trick pony, and would categorically flatten Wilder if they ever fought.

Yeah, why wouldn't he? Wach was always hittable, and Mak's power would make itself felt against any version of ol' Lantern Jaw.

Mak's not slow at all. Really don't see where people are seeing this. He's not quick, but he's about as fast as Vitali and has a very effective method of pinning fighters against the ropes with his lead hand while he goes to work with his rear hand. And like Joyce he varies his speed to catch opponents out. You might make him miss for a bit but sooner or later he's cornering you and you're getting clocked.

    Yes.

People say the same about Hrgovic but I've never seen him fail to land with consistency on anyone. Jonathan Rice is a giant of a man but he's very light on his feet and mobile for someone of his gargantuan dimensions and Mak got him out of there quicker than anyone albeit he's only been stopped twice. Neither Yoka, Ajagba, Michael Polite Coffie, or Stephen Shaw could stop him and they're all big punchers and he beat Coffie x 2. If Mak was so slow he wouldn't have been able to do that to someone who is athletic and moves as well as Rice.

They say the same about Joyce too but to be fair he does look kind of slow. But that's because these rubes still can't grasp the concept of slow-fast speed

Fury got heavily knocked down by bum ass Pajkic and badly hurt by bum ass Firtha. If they can catch him, Makhmudov can.

Makhmudov is not hard to hit by any stretch. But Wach isn't an uneducated fighter. He's slow but he definitely knows how to use that jab of his and still has some power on his shots.

And Makhmudov really stopped Wach. Not "Wach got cut and doctor stopped the fight" (Povetkin), or "Wach hurt his hand and the trainer stopped the fight" (Jarrell Miller), or "Wach got tired and his opponent started teeing off on him" (Bakole).

Makhmudov put Wach down on the canvas which is a place that Wach had never been before. Sure he's 42 years-old, but putting Wach down on his ass is about as easy as sinking Greenland.

Yes, but Makhmudov actually put him on the canvas.

Only Hrgovic is well-positioned with a satisfactory promotion team. Promoters are going to have to step up to fix the consequent of the "high-risk : low-reward" ratios for Dychko and Makhmudov or else those guys are just going to rot in the field...

Yeah and Hrgovic had trouble finding opponents aswell. That high-risk low-reward narrative you’re describing is a problem

He also trains alongside Salikhov from the UFC, so he probably trains in MMA too
