Shadow I am a big Canelo fan but we have to speak the truth. Rounds 1-4 may have been the most competitive rounds which you can score 2-2 or like I did 3-1 Bivol but after that Bivol dominated the fight putting a boxing clinic on Canelo. Canelo tried to put it on Bivol in rounds 1-4 but it did not work and was given food for thought in the form of Bivol’s persistent consistent jab and excellent defence. Canelo gassing for such an experienced champion is not a good excuse. He should not be gassing in any circumstances as it indicates many things which don’t speak well of Canelo. Bivol won so clearly even the Matchroom judges could not give it to Canelo. I am not lauding Crawford’s resume. In fact if anything I am saying we probably give it to him by default until Spence does a job on him.

Usyk?? When did Usyk fight Canelo??
It is when you put on weight and you're fighting in a higher weight class than you should be. I agree Bivol won "clearly" but "clearly" does not mean "dominantly".
What we should do is not put Crawford or Spence anywhere until they fight. And Canelo shouldn't drop until he defends his titles.

He was fighting out of his weight class, against a great undefeated Champion at LHW, all things considered he gave Bivol a tough fight, he had his moments early on and in Round 9. All in all, it was a tougher fight than Bivol ever had before. Bivol rose to the occasion and got the W but it was not dominant or one-sided in any way shape or form.

Or you could score it 3-1 Canelo or 4-0 Canelo. There's nothing wrong with scoring those rounds for Canelo and anyone who claims that's unreasonable is trying to spin what happened.
He did put it on him, Bivol took those shots well but they landed and won him those rounds. Bivol was landing too, but not as clean, heavy or as effective as Canelo. Canelo not only landed the more effective punches in rounds 1-4, but he was also the effective aggressor in those rounds, pinning Bivol's back against the ropes several times, landing shoulder shots, bicep bombs, uppercuts, body shots, etc. Jabs too. He was the ring general in those rounds, and he showed more high level defensive, parrying shots and making Bivol miss more than Bivol was making him miss. The scoring criteria is on Canelo's side in those rounds.

Look Shadow no one forced him to move up in weight or particularly wanted him to fight Bivol. People wanted him to stay at 168 to face the likes of Charlo, David Benaivides and Lil g. He and his team thought Bivol was a cherry pick after his less than scintillating performance against the British lad “Spider” Craig Richards. I was one of the ones on here who said this is a mistake they have picked the wrong guy and Bivol will be to much for Canelo. If you say tge win was not one sided I will grant you that but it was a dominating win for Bivol and there is a reason Team Canelo and DAZN have not gone for the immediate rematch.

Ditto some judges could likewise have scored those first 4 rounds 4-0 Bivol. I know there is a subjective element to boxing and judges interpretation of what they are seeing.

Get outta here with the cherry pick stuff lol. Bivol, a cherry pick, at 175 no less, listen to yourself. You're repeating the same talking points we've heard, the spin jobs. The haters must be rubbing off on you.

Look I agree it wasn't the smartest thing to do to fight Bivol, I wanted him to stay at 168 as well. Remember I was the one who favored Bivol and knew that losing was a disctinct possibility. But I'm not gonna drop him from P4P #1 for it. He had too much momentum built up, and it wasn't a bad loss. The fighters below him have not earned P4P #1 like he has. He's fought a murderers row of undefeated fighters after undefeated fighters moving up in weight, becoming Undisputed, working with different promotors to make fights happen. Fighting Bivol might not have been the smartest thing to do, but I admire his courage and his willingness to take that kind of a risk, something that none of these other P4P contenders are doing.

Hes never been rated by me Not #1 not even #50
He is a carbon copy of Floyd. He owes most of his success to the help hes received from the NSAC & Vegas boxing officials.
Only difference is Canelo can FIGHT!! Floyd couldn't he just danced

No screw the haters! When it was first suggested I was like are Team Canelo and Hearn out of their minds because Bivol is the best Light Heavyweight in the world. Not only was it not the smartest thing in the world to do as you rightly point I thought it was stupid. I don’t think anyone considers the likes of BJS and Callum Smith a murderers row of opponents. Canelo was favoured to win those fights and I knew he would. Plant was going to be a difficult assignment and he rose to the challenge but Bivol was an unnecessary bridge to far. I am not sure he gets kudos for fighting Bivol and less for the manner of the loss. His pound for pound rivals may not have the same resume but no doubt his stock went down P4P with the Bivol loss.

Bivol was a cherry pick that went very wrong. Ginger & the butchers Reynoso didnt believe he had the power to keep Ginger back. Bivol boxed his ass off it wasn't even closeLOL You could see by the cards the fix was in, the judges all gave Ginger the usual 4 round start but they miscalculated ROFLMAO

I disagree with several things you said there like that he bested Golovkin or that he was a work in progress at that point but I dont think it s hard to see why he gets hate.
Obvious corruption in his favour due to being the cash cow.
It s always happened in boxing.
