He does not have to knock Canelo out to win. It’s never been proven that Canelo can be knocked out nor Danny Swift Garcia for that matter ditto Spence.
Yeah that is also nonsense IMO. I believe Spence could beat Canelo, but to suggest eaither is easily KO'ing the other just make people look stupid. How many times has either guy even touched the canvas? Use your head instead of emotion people. I consider Spence and Canelo top fighters. Neither guy has KO'd a top level fighter. I mean if you want to call Kovalev a top fighter then I guess Canelo has one if you want to overlook various relevant aspects of that fight..
spence spits out his mouthguard when he's dizzy... if canelo catches him with one of those punches he'll put him to sleep the same way he put amir khan to sleep... it would be a creepy knockout but i would like it
Spence is undefeated at WW not at MW. Yes Canelo does have bad decisions but if he were to fight Spence the fight wouldn't go to decision.
Let's be honest Spence was lucky to get past porter and nearly got chinned by that Old Cuban last time.. I can't stand Canelo but I would love him to chin Spence
you think light heavyweight Crawford beats Canelo? Easy to look good against bums.. fighting Canelo is a lot different to fighting Ricky Burns and Shawn Porter lol
If the fight happened right now, Canelo would win because it’s a near-impossible task for anyone to move up 3 weight classes and over 20 lbs, and win their first fight in a much higher weight class. But if Spence establishes himself at 154 and 160 in the near-future, and becomes acclimatised to the higher weight classes, then I would back Spence to outbox Canelo in a few years time.
My point being that although Mike is sold in the chin dept, Canelo to his credit is iron Spence ain't stopping Canelo in a million years
Spence vs Leonard at 147 would be 50/50. If little Duran could break Leonard's ribs, apply smart pressure, and cut off the ring, what do you think a bigger, stronger, and more powerful Spence would do to him? Leonard was not untouchable. He had his flaws.
The thing about Spence, like with GGG, they are not flashy. For some reason, especially on this board, there seems to be this line of thinking that, "The fighter with the most tools should be the favorite." I disagree. We saw what Hurd did to Lara, we saw what GGG did to Jacobs and Canelo (yes, GGG won both IMO), and we saw what Wilder did to Ortiz...etc. I agree with everything you stated. One could make the argument that Spence is much better than Cotto ever was, yet Cotto gave Canelo an extremely tough time. I personally think it's 50/50.
