While I believe that Terence Crawford is the best fighter in the world, the question is about right now, so it is hard for me to pick a man that hasn't fought since last year. That eliminates, Bud, Usyk, and Loma. To me, those are three of the top five guys along with Inoue and Alvarez. Canelo is coming off a loss, albeit against a bigger man. I have to say that as of right now, August 3, 2022, The Monster is the true Boogeyman of boxing. Inoue is the best.

Has to be Usyk. If he isn't now, then there will be no argument if he stops AJ in the rematch.

I was pretty tempted to say it's still Canelo because of how inactive these other top guys are, but I am sympathetic to Usyk's situation where he has both a war and a very expensive belt collection he needs to keep together without the kind of money AJ has behind him. It's probably not easy for him to just make a fight all on his terms like some can.

Oleksandr Juicesyk right now.. Very skilled, Cruiserweight GOAT, great wins, dominant wins, beat a way bigger Anthony Joshua in his last fight, AJ didnt have to rehydrate or anything the night before, just 20 pounds of natural weight bigger than him, been outweighed by an average of 27 pounds in his last 3 fights

    I'd say Usyk is clear.

    Inoue clear second as well.

But if Crawford and Spence fight, the winner of that probably moves into second for me.

If Loma can deal his Lopez problem and reunify at LW he has a path back there but age isn't on his side right now.

I give it to Terence Bud Crawford at this moment in time just ahead of Usyk, Spence and Inoue but once Spence defeats Bud Crawford then Spence is P4P number 1 bar none.

    Honestly I don't see it.

When Usyk knocks AJ out and is the best HW on the planet, he's going to solidify his number 1 spot.

At that point either Fury accepts Usyk is the best, or he ends his retirement to try and reclaim his throne.

No one will care about Spence at that point, but I think Spence will be a solid 2nd after Usyk, followed by Inoue.

    Usyk and it's not even close, it's a no-brainer

He was number 1 before Alvarez lost, but Alvarez losing just made it 100% clear.

Anyone saying otherwise has an ulterior motive

He was not #1 before Canelo lost. Canelo was the consensus #1. You're the 3rd poster in the last 2 days who has made this false claim. You wanna talk about ulterior motives, you claiming Usyk was #1 before Canelo lost, that suggests you have an ulterior motive.

If you want to argue that Usyk should be #1, that's fine, but stop making up falsehoods like he was #1 before Canelo lost.

hes been p4p number 1 for a long time. since he cleared up the cruisers

it was just debatable between him and Canelo. But MANY had Usyk p4p number 1 before Canelo lost to Bivol.

Many fans had him #1 yes, but he wasn't #1 in any of the actual P4P Lists.

    Inoue.

Most dominant. Most skilled. Most violent.
