If by save his career we mean can he land a Jake 'Money' Paul payday... yes I think he can. He's past his best, he is smaller than Jake 'Money' Paul, and he got a loud mouth that would sell tickets... perfect opponent for Jake 'Money' Paul.
He had a pretty good career, 4 weight champ. He's already fallen short of his initial hype and will not be able to reach the top pack, probably only back for the paychecks
4 weight champ shows what a joke it is to beconr it in this day and age. Hyped up Fabricated abc title career. Hood knows he aint no Homicide Hank.
He never had anything above his lighter weights and even down there he was vulnerable to a boxer. Good fighter at his peak -- honestly, his performance against Maidana was his most impressive because he showed a lot of heart -- but never close to elite.
There is not a chance Broner will ever be high quality again. He's old, his life is a mess and he just doesn't have enough punch output and power to make up for what he's lost in speed and reflexes.
I do not expect a later career renaissance from Broner. He can't make weight for the classes he has real punching power in. His punch output is too low to win decisions against any fighter with a decent ring iq. He keeps trying to put on these late Mayweather/ Devin Haney type performances but he's not evasive enough so he's just getting outpointed. He also doesn't ever seem to have a plan B. Hes too full of himself to feel the necessary desperation to pull a victory out of a fight he's behind on. I thought he should have packed it in when he was lucky to get a draw against Vargas. I really wouldn't mind his whole schtick if his fights weren't usually pretty boring.
No. He will be one of those sad cases in 40 years where a boxer who had made a lot of money completely flushed it down the toilet
Nope. Broner's lack of discipline and outside of the issues are the key reasons why he won't be able to make a comeback. Adrien is a glorified gatekeeper at this point.
