How does prime Felix Trinidad fare against todays WWs?

Was watching some of Trinidad’s highlights recently and it was a reminder of how much of a killing machine he was. How does a prime Trinidad do against todays crop of WWs such as Bud, Spence, Thurman, Boots, Ortiz? Does he destroy them all or would he have trouble with any of them?

Hed be the best WW imo. We know tito was knocked down on several occasions as a welter, but he was able to get back up and stop those opponents as well. Hed have trouble with guys like Spence, Boots and Crawford no doubt, maybe even young Ortiz but i think hed "find a way to win" like hes done in the past.

 

He was plodding, he'd have serious problems with Crawfords movement.

 

Undisputed in my book. That was back when guys sharpened their skills by, you know, fighting each other.

Some think he won, some think he lost, but I will never forget that night he beat De La Hoya, and I think it w as good, clean win.I will also never forget when he disconnected Vargas' brain with the hook. Fernando was never the same after that.

 

Crawford and Boots would give him the most problems. And I've not seen Boots really tested yet.

 

Hopkins set the blueprint to beat Tito. Starting with footwork, good lateral movement, jabs and power punches followed by clinches. Winky beat him with his jab alone and his footwork.

That being said Crawford and Boots would test him the most.

 

He'd lose to Crawford, possibly Spence and Boots as well.

 

Mostly why it worked so well for Hopkins was because he was so much bigger, it was Tito’s second fight at middle while Hopkins was already big for his weight class, plus the mind games that made Tito mad which made him tired and exhausted. Let them fight @147 and Hopkins will be KO’d like everyone else.

Trinidad beats them all and KO most of todays elite.

 

He'd KO them all.
Oscar would beat them
Forrest would be them
Bazooka would beat them.
Mosely would beat them.
Better standard of fighters.

Depends which Tito you are referring to. The one that had the special wraps or regular Tito?

 

The Tito that beat Camacho, Campas, Carr, Whitaker, and ODLH.

 

Tito would do pretty well he's at least tested unlike the current generation...yeah he lost to Hopkins who started and finished his career at Light Heavy.

 

He would do fine. Crawford is probably the one that has the best chance of beating him. Spence is his next toughest challenge, but neither of these guys has yet to face anyone remotely as dangerous as Trinidad and the power he has at 147.
