I saw that clip on Channel 9 with Gal and SBW. Gal made him break his fake nice guy character. SBW sounded like a complete tool trying to do his best Roy Jones impression. It is clear to anyone who has followed it that SBW has been ducking Gallen for years and only wants the fight now that Gallen is over 40 and slowing down.
Can't really see how the fight happens with Gal presumably having a deal with No Limit who in turn have a deal with Foxtel / Main Event. Dunny Bill will fight scrubbers for big money on Stan funded by Nein. Gal ironically works for Nein on its rugby league coverage. They should get him to sort out their boxing programming. He'd do a better job than the blokes who are doing it now. No more patsies for Dunny Bill would be a good start.
Gal to fight twice in one night in possibly his last night in the ring. Presumably against Hodges and another Queenslander.
Has anyone caught any of the Commonwealth games boxing? Totally spaced on it and when I remembered to tune in I only even seem to get women's boxing. Caught a replay of the Aussie Callum Peters stopping the Guyanese fighter. Not a style I particularly like but he is very athletically gifted and only a young pup at 19. He is guaranteed a bronze but I don't know much about his next opponent or potential opponents in the other half of the draw.
Callum Peters and Kaye Scott to fight for gold in their respective divisions at the commo games. We bagged 3 bronze so far.
That muslim goddess Tina Rahimi also impressed me. Pure scrapper.Really fun to watch and not bad in the eyes.
