I mean, what else were we to expect from a guy with 2 stoppage wins in 22 fights vs a guy with 18 all by k.o.?

 

Spence is pretty damaged and Crawford is overrated. I’d pick Ennis and Ortiz to beat both of them

 

Not a problem. that's your opinion. and my opinion is that Ortiz is overrated.

 

Very good performance from Ortiz. He had some issues finding McKinson at one stretch in 2nd half of the fight but didn't become discouraged. I'd like to see how he does against some of the other top fighters and prospects at 147, especially ones that have pop to make him pay walking in or when missing with wide shots. If he can't get the tops dogs, he should go for the others. Benn, Thurman, Ennis, Avanesyan, Crowley, even Ugas as he has more things to learn. Spence vs Ortiz would be a war and one of the most exciting fights out there, we don't know if Ortiz can take as good as he gives yet though.

Hearn will throw the obviously outgunned and expendable McKinson to this wolf, but won't so much as dream of putting his supposed world class beast anywhere near him. Funny.

I'm surprised Conor didn't head to TX for the opportunity to visit Vergil's dressing room post-fight, make friends with him and tell him what a monster he is before calling out Cory Spinks or something.

 

McKinson must be Benn's new bodyguard. I'll give McKinson his props, he was well outgunned, but didn't disgrace himself at the same time.

Fancy guy eh? Benelli is the top of the line. Make sure you keep it oiled. Semi auto shotguns are fantastic home defense, even though I have a pump. Get yourself some padding for the stock my friend unless you got shoulders like steel.

 

hes not finished out. but hes improving every out. i wrote this in 2019 about the soloman fight

i saw him a lot more measured today. like he understands the pace he needs to set, to break a guy down till hes helpless. i suppose if mac had proved more elusive, virgil would have pressed a bit sooner. but it appears he knew how much damage he was doing, and knew he wouldnt stand up to 12 at that pace.
now i would like to see him not putting everything into every shot. sacrifice some power for some extra speed, in between his hard shots, to find him and keep him guessing. this will improve the fluidity of his shots and helps him better manage his gas tank. i see him on pace to be the man in 2 years.

 

McKinson's best shot was the headbutt in the early rounds. Lol!

 

Headbutts count if you use them right.
