Thought he fought a great fight last night and conducted himself really well after, just came up short but proved he has some chin on him.
Showed more cahones in one night than Benn has in his whole career

Finished it on his feet and he'd probably still be there now if he could. Great heart, great resilience, I'd love to see him take Benn into the later rounds and give him the balls test.

Unfortunately, with those pillow fists, McKinson won't smash anyone.
Would like to see him school Avanesyan though.

A kickboxer trying out boxing to get a bit more money in his pocket closed both of Benn's eyes shut. Improvements have been made but McKinson is a lot better than Peynaud and his jabs would eventually break Benn down.

He was always going to do better than expected with that style of his against Ortiz, just a shame he’s only got 2 stoppages on his record, doesn’t hit hard enough to trouble the elite but can definitely be British/euro champ

Always liked McKinson and gutted that it didn't work out last night. Glad he showed a good account of himself at least, has a lot of talent plus a heart and chin. Think he could still do something

We don't know how good ortiz Jr is yet. He looks like he could be the next superstar in the welterweight division. Mckinson should probably stay in America and fight a few more over there.

He could test ennis and fight cobbs who was on the undercard. He could make a decent living over there and get good sparring.

He can then come over here and take on the brits. He has his name out there now. Benn won't fight him for another few years at least.

Fair play to Mckinson - he came up short in the toughest of tests away from home but gave a solid account of himself in the process.

His stock has went up in my estimation.

I missed the fight and have no chance to catch up this week. Heard from a lot that his heart was amazing, but how did he actually look? he cause Ortiz any problems?

Nice guy Mckinson and did himself proud in there..Ortiz is a class act but I wouldn’t take him to beat Crawford or Spence at the minute.

He didn’t cause Ortiz any particular issues. For about 2 rounds he did actually meet Victor in the middle of the ring, and he showed that he was quite physically strong on the inside clinching etc. After the first 2 though, Ortiz started to break him up with big body and head shots- McKinson showed a great chin and bravery.
