It seems Usyk has bulked up for the rematch, will this help him or hurt him in the fight?

Yeah, he's very physically strong. So is Loma for his size too.

If Usyk has bulked up I don't think it is a good thing. The weight he came in at for the first fight was perfect and his speed, movement, stamina were all on point all of which gave AJ fits

Okolie said sparring smaller guys is actually harder because they're faster and the shots you usually land don't land as sharply as the do on same size/bigger fighters

He did this exact same **** last year, and posted videos to make himself look bigger than he actually was.

His team lied and said he lost 22lbs at war....

    This is all mind games.

Don't think his punch resistance needs any help.

Everyone expects Joshi's gameplan to try and take his head off this time around.
So bulking up seems the right strategy here

He looks around the same weight. Usyk's no fool anyway, and knows what he has to do to win this rematch.

This is a very good point. Recall the Gassiev-Usyk fight. I don't think anybody would dispute that Gassiev is the bigger puncher, but Marat coudn't move Usyk. At all.

John Ruiz Jr is another example. Not the biggest puncher, but he had to get all the way to Nikolai Valuev before he finally came across a fighter that he couldn't tie up or push around.

    Strength is function/motion-specific.

I'm guessing that the ref will break up just about every exchange lasting longer than about 700 milliseconds and that AJ will try to clip Usyk off of a break.

Nobody should be making any conclusions about Usyk's physique until the weigh-in. Training photos have been used to sow uncertainty in the opposing fighter's camp since the days of the tintype when boxing fans were parking horse-drawn wagons at the fight venue.

People say that extra bulk helps in a clinch, but you know what helps more...not being there to get clinched. Speed is what you need. Greasy fast speed.
I don't think Usyk is dumb enough to intentionally pack on lots of mass. He's a pro and since this is a heavyweight fight, the scales don't mean anything. He'll train for what he needs and his body will end up where it will.

    Exactly

But many are guilty of underestimating numerous things when it comes to Usyk. His power, his durability and toughness, his physical strength and even his skills and they still continue to do so even after he proves them wrong
