Sounds like Fury is desperate to tie himself up with some sort of safe fight to avoid the question of him fighting the winner of Usyk vs AJ 2

No, he fights to his own timetable and the winner of Usyk v Joshua has to fit in with that. He'd be mad to stay inactive if he's not retiring.

I'm happy he's at least staying active.

If I were him I'd offer Helenius a shot. Not too risky, should be easy enough work for Fury/

The undisputed fight wont happen until feb/mar next year.

I think Fury chose someone like Chisora because Chisora is a big name who will draw in PPV views and it will help him stay active.

I'd choose Michael hunter or Robert Helenius. Fury vs Hunter would be interesting and help him prepare for Usyk.

Hunter is the closest thing possible to Usyk.

It's the cocaine. It's always the cocaine.

Here we go. Another tune up for a guy who is highly likely fighting for a unification. Ridiculous.

It's expensive and makes you do stupid things. Chisora is a winnable fight where Fury can make easy money for both cocaine and his other love, buffets.

If by safe you mean he's not really going to break a sweat then yeah maybe. But the reality is with this HW division...if Fury is top of his game there really isn't a fight that's nott safe. And by top of his game I mean mentally fit and physically good (I believe his hands were ****ed up before Wilder he had surgery no?). Yes in HW you're only one punch away from being very unsafe but Joshua and Usyk are not on his level on balance.

If this is true I won't be watching the Fury circus anymore, and that is saying a lot since I supported him through his PEDs accusations, first retirement, fights with then lightly regarded Wallin and Swartz, etc. If he wants soft, marketable fights, they are out there without having to fight the same guy a third time.

What about Haye? There is a time honored tradition in boxing of digging up the dead for a big-name fight.

What about Kabayel? About the same level as Chisora...maybe a hair better since he won the fight. They actually have promotional ties.

What about Oscar Rivas? Not as good as Dillion Whyte, but now officially the WBC "bridgerweight" champion. It will nominally be two champs in there.

Why not Big Baby Miller, who is officially undefeated, but is a shadow of his former self now that he is being closely drug tested? I am not sure if Miller has a connection with Arum anymore, but they have his phone number, at least.

Why fight the same guy a third time when NOBODY wants to see it? Ridiculous.

Good luck to you and your family, Mr. Fury.

Don't forget Guiness and those French drinks that make him go out and kick taxi cabs.

    Easy stay busy fight.
At least it's better as Seferi, Pianeta, Schwartz and Wallin.
