Americans won't most likely get it, but this is absolutely massive fight in the UK. Build up will be crazy.
Their dad's will be involved which will add to the hype in the UK. Americans won't care as much though.
I don’t see how this is anything other than a complete mismatch. Benn’s only chance is to hope that the weight cut totally drains Eubank, otherwise he’s getting knocked out
157, with a rehydration clause, so the word goes. No doubt that's exactly what they're calculating on. If it's a miscalculation, Benn/Hearn can boast that they dared to be great and resume at 147, likely with an even more inflated sense of his status, filthy PPV lucre safely pocketed.
I know it's a money fight and I understand the history. I was a huge Benn fan with that being said why isn't Eubank Jr fighting someone his own size with a pulse? His career has literally been smoke and mirrors and being in his 30's the time of actually doing something meaningful is surely nearing an end.
Id rather See Benn lose his L at his own weight class tbh, but given the history between the fathers and now the sons it makes for an intriguing fight i guess.
Who gives a flying frig what Americans think? It's a UK fight, involving UK fighters for UK fans and the UK boxing scene has delivered some absolutely cracking fights and this should be another.
Cash grab pure and simple.he better hope he wins.it would dishonour the family name to lose to a green diminutive welterweight with the surname Benn.
Win or lose, you can just hear it now, "'Oo are Vergil Ortiz and Jaron Ennis, anyway, Kugz? I've just been on a million-selling pay-per-view. They need to get on my level, I don't have to waste my time on these no-names when there's bigger and better options for me. If you want to get banged out, bring something to the table and I'll oblige ya, simple." Proceeds to box the Broner-Figueroa winner.
Benn always calls out these big names but only fights washed up pillow fisted fighters. Eddie will try his best to keep him away from top fighters as long as possible
