From the day they'd both set foot in a proffesional ring this was always gonna get made at some point. Gotta say I'm looking forward to the dads back to beefing after all the years of being friends more than the actual fight itself, but I'll still watch it! Hope Benn wins but fear he may get beaten up by the naturally bigger man.
What is the weight and rehydration clause status ? Eubank might hurt himself making the weight, the fight is a joke and a lot of casual fans are already lapping this nonsense up.
Im quite interested in this fight. If Benn has a beard on him then this could easily be fight of the year. Wonder if this will be a regular thing now Tim Tsyzu and Soup Hatton at lightweight next
Credit to Benn for taking this fight - there's definitely easier fights out there for him! Eubank KO for me. Will be entertaining though, particularly the build-up.
I believe he's gonna drain eubank within an inch of his life and then stick a rehydration clause in there too so to ensure a corpse in the ring Let's wait for the full details, if my above assumptions are accurate, then it's not an impressive thing
100% Eubank said himself 158 was pushing it when talking about Brook. He laughed at 156. If he has to hit 156 and a rehydration then this fight is even more of a joke. **** supporting this shite. So many people whinge about youtube fights and exhibitions then support this WWE, 100% a rematch, crap because their dad's had beef 30 years ago. It's a joke
I said it before, they must not have confidence in Benn's chances at world level to be putting him in joke fights this early.
Interesting fight. Tbf neither can catch a break with the fans. Two guys that started late but to their credit dedicated themselves and both improved massively. Not sure what people want tbh ignoring the hype which is basically the job of a promoter both guys have giving it pretty much all they,ve got to improve. Would have heavily fancied eubank a few years back but tbh not impressed with him under roy jones. When things go wrong he wont have a plan b to fall back on. He could always fall back on grittyness to get him through tough patches through the extreme training he was doing. Was too late to turn him into a boxer....he also doesnt have the looseness for it or much of a jab. Was getting success with his original style....just underestimated how hard jumping up weight to fight a good one in groves was. Unlike the old mans day...its more of a science nowadays with the weight where every pound counts.
Double ko please god. Can’t believe this is actually happening. I thought it was just silly talk. Eubank won’t make 157, if he does I’m putting money on Benn. He used to be tight at 160 almost a decade ago, fought at the weight above that for years and is now of an age were he’ll naturally filling out even more.
I don't like this fight right now, maybe in a few years time. I just hope Jr doesn't try to run like in the Williams fight. That would be embarrasing. I think he thinks he is looking slick doing it but he looks like a ***** IMO. I think Conor will try to bring the fight, he only knows one way at the moment. It could be entertaining if its a real dust up. Either way Conor is outgunned IMO. He doesnt really have any attributes to make it competive and he is easy enough to clip. Conor doesnt even have the speed advantage
Don’t think it has anything to do with that he’s just seeing £££. That being said it could easily set his career back a fair bit if he gets a pasting. But he’s got a good excuse if he loses. I moved up in weight etc. I can see why this fight appeals to people but I’m not particularly arsed personally. Probably cos I think there a pair of tossers.
Young CHRIS will win another world title along the line (some people don't rate the IBO) and theres no way an international superstar like BENNE doesn't get at least a shot at some gaudy alphabet bauble at some point.
Cannot wait to see these two guys unify the title for two divisions and two generations in the same fight.
