Would this match up end in disaster for Duran?
Facing a guy that had the power of an Hearns?
Or do you see this as a winnable fight for Hands of stone?

I think Duran could pull it off, but his chances are slim. G-Man is a bad match-up for Duran in my opinion. I can't see it being much of a tactical boxing match early on, but if Duran could weather the storm early, it could certainly become one- and if it does slow to that pace - i would favour Duran more and more. Still though, I'd take G-man by stoppage.

Very bad match up for Duran, he's all to do just to survive.
He's got a slim chance imo of getting thru that hurricane, but yes, if he can..

The biggest issue here is natural size.

G-Man won't give Duran the same respect that Hagler did and whilst Duran could very well catch him with good counters, G-Man likely won't respect his power and walk him down. Whilst not as skilled as Hearns, G-Man's size differential and power will likely catch Duran and I'm not sure I like Duran lasting here.

G-Man was very aggressive and will look at Duran like a lioness stalking a wounded zebra baby.

You’re a sadistic *******. Duran shouldn’t be in the same building as a 6’2 guy who entered the ring in WBC defences 180+ still chiseled/carved.

Duran had the same mentality as Benn.
    He'd go for it.

Duran isn’t Benn with due respect. He’s a 5’4 boxing master.

Without Benn's size and power - especially power.

Duran does have an all time chin but Tommy cracked it and I wouldn't bet on Roberto taking G-Man's Sunday punch.

McClellan has become a bit of a bogeyman but he had some glaring limitations made apparent during the first Jackson and Benn fights.

But he was a nightmare matchup for a short guy who wasn’t really a natural middleweight. Duran was leagues above Gerald as a fighter but he was small and Gerald had a rock chin and a lot more natural gifts than Barkley. McClellan would likely blast him out at some point at 160.

But I don’t like GMans chances against big, skilled natural middles like Hopkins, Toney or Jones Jnr at all. And if you could shrink him down to Durans natural weight then he’d be absolutely smashed.

Its the reason we have weight classes this match up.

I wouldn't write off Duran so easily. Gerald is one of those fighters who's reputation has grown without a lot of justification .

Although I haven't seen the fights, people seem to forget a young McClellan was outboxed by Ralph Ward, Dennis Milton, I think Duran is also being sold a bit short here aswell.

I think he has to get through a rough early doors. Then he does stand a chance.
My money on G but I always give Roberto a shot.
