Kambosos over Lopez. Based on his non-perfomance vs an admittedly very good Haney, and Lopez' win over the supposedly god like Loma, looking back now it was a shocker.
Plus the post fight declaration that he won 11-1 and whining that he could have died because of a throat condition made Lopez look even worse.

Ruiz isn't garbage he's a good hw. No way should this be anywhere near the most embarrassing loss. Embarrassing is losing to a c level fighter or worse ruiz isn't c level. People are acting like ruiz is a bum he isn't. Not to mention these are Heavyweights where damn near everyone has a punchers chance.

    You're right, you can't compare.

One lost to a world rated last minute replacement.

The other lost to an unranked fighter who had been knocked out 7 times I was the previous 10 years.

One was seen as a champion with something to prove.

The other was seen as a top 10 ATG.

    Like you said, not comparable.

Yeah but he didnt one shot him. He beat up like he was his step dad and AJ ate the last taco out of the fridge.

You just can't top the optics of Joshua getting dominated and quitting against Ruiz. It was more shocking in that sense than Tyson/Douglas.

Could end up being close depending on the Usyk rematch and any fights after that. While I think Joshua is better than Bruno I don't know if I'd bet on AJ in a matchup with him.

I'll deviate a bit from major upsets and mention Ortiz's loss against Mayweather. A ridiculous jumping headbutt followed by a kiss, and then another attempt to hug and kiss after the referee called time-in. Mayweather even popped him with a left hook that should have put Ortiz on notice to maybe defend himself or fight back, yet he still looked at the referee for help before the straight right that finished him off. The whole sequence by Ortiz was bizarre and pathetic.

Edit: realized this was just over a decade ago now, oh well...

I have to put Broner's L to Maidana near the top. It's not that Maidana wasn't good or anything, but the way Broner was absolutely humiliated has been unmatched in boxing. His showboating, trash talking all force fed back to him. The revenge dry-hump to the begging of the ref to save him to the running out of the ring crying needing his hand held... I mean, to me, nothing tops that. Not even close.

Lower level than the ones being discussed above, but how about when Robert Guerrero lost to a literal taxi driver, David Peralta or something like that?

It can only really be viewed as embarrassing because of Lopez's idiotic comments after the fight, but the loss itself is nowhere near the most embarrassing of the decade. Considering that Lopez rallied back to knock down Kambosos in the tenth round, and he was competitive enough to be on the losing end of a split decision rather than unanimous. Whether people agree with the scorecards or not, the bottom line is that the fight was competitive.

Actually, if anything, I'd argue Kambosos' loss to Haney was MUCH more embarrassing than Lopez's to Kambosos. Kambosos talked a LOT of **** pre-fight, had all his diva A-side demands (forcing Haney to sign with Top Rank, agree to a rematch clause, fight in Australia, take the lion's share of the purse when he's not even a bigger draw, etc), Haney agreed to all of it, then 11-1'd / 12-0'd Kambosos by making him look like an amateur unable to avoid Haney's jab all night. Not to mention Kambosos' unprofessionalism at not making weight, then getting totally schooled. At least Lopez was competitive, Kambosos barely won a round.
