There is a bunch of famous fights where high temperature may have affected the outcome...

And what about low temperatures? Or maybe even rain, snow or storm or whatever...which may affect open-air fights.

Maybe you know some good examples?

I remember seeing photos of a title fight in the Far East that took place during a downpour and the boxers (Carruthers and Songkitrat) had to fight barefoot.

It didn't affect the outcome but it was certainly an unusual incident.

in boxing come prepared & fit for environment. don't blame weather for loss! Lol

if cooler temperatures so Robinson beats Maxim but how many will complaints should it be say ' ' Maxim woulda beat him in hotter room! ' ' . Steve Cruz loss to Barry McGuigan is in Scotland outdoor cold nights & does it make complaints ' ' if was Las Vegas sun he would beats him! ' :

haha yes is true but how many gave give it's the consideration. no one would care.
only persons care because they loss moneys . loss big bets on Robinson & McGuigan! !
    Sold the bill of goods
bet on the dead cert & loss

I wouldn't say it didn't have an effect, but I also think Cruz deserves a lot of credit. Barry was expected to steamroll this replacement, and the very fact that Cruz was able to survive to the late rounds at all is a feather in his cap. He fought really well.

My comment was a little tongue in cheek.
It wasn't just the heat. Cruz did fight a good fight, a lot better than expected obviously.
I always suspected tho if the fight takes place in the UK or anywhere where its not as hot, then Bazza wins.

I never heard anyone say that the temperature had anything to do with this fight, but I remember it being said during the telecast that the temperature at ringside for the Floyd Patterson - Jimmy Elllis fight in Stockholm, Sweden was in the upper 30s on September 14, 1968.

Ali vs Foreman. In Zaire ,The humidity was so high it may have
also effected Foreman adversely, along with him possibly
fighting the dumbest fight in heavyweight championship history.
Right after the fight ended a monsoon happened.
As if the sky gods themselves cried because of
    the vindication of Ali's victory.

UTTER NONSENSE. Weather makes a huge difference, especially when fighters from 2 different weight categories fight. Usually, the smaller man has to work more (to get inside and land), so of course hotter weather is gonna affect him more.
