My pleasure. You’re right, changing up the velocity is very skilled and effective. Also agree that Liston’s jab, even then, still looked sweet.

How about the chin on Old Scrap? Frightening.

Another tid bit, Scrap was supposed to get married the same day and being a late sub, he put his wedding back to midnight!

Anyway, due to the going over he received, he put the wedding back again to the next day. Scrap allegedly said later that Liston hit him so hard, Scrap ended up marrying the wrong woman! I dunno how his Mrs felt about his little joke. LOL.

I also would have to go with Joe to win such a 1970 match. But Sonny at any age was still a dangerous fighter. He was still good enough to floor Leotis Martin early in their fight and was doing very well until he ran out of gas and suddenly turned old. A Frazier-Liston fight in 1970 would still be an interesting fight, especially in the early rounds. I believe that eventually Joe's youth and speed carry the day for him, for a TKO victory.

Frazier beats up any version of that overrated leg breaker. He’s very close to “Young” Foreman in terms of perception. Reality is both were not great boxers, great HWs maybe.

I think this is the first time I've ever seen you pick Frazier.

I think it's realistic. Sonny was pretty far gone and it showed in his ranking but I think even a prime Sonny would have problems
