Me and a friend from the neighborhood agree that Lewis would brutally beat Joshua, even that Joshua who was more aggressive than he is now...

As if Wladimir Klitschko, not Vitali Klitschko, fought Lennox Lewis on June 21, 2003.
AJ would take a bigger beating than Andy Ruiz.

Lewis in 7. AJ never had and never will have the skills to deal with Lennox.

Lewis would control the fight with the jab and start backing him up with jabs and lead rights to the body after 3 rounds of outboxing him. He starts landing rights that make Joshua gunshy before boxing his way into range and tearing him up in the pocket, stopping him in the 6th or 7th.

    Levels apart

I think it might look like Lewis vs Briggs. LL gets rocked a bit but takes over shortly after and finishes him early.

I dunno about Joshua having no chance. My money would be on Lewis but I think Joshua is like a slightly bigger but less stiff version of Bruno with faster hands and better combos an we know what a tough fight Bruno gave Lewis so it ain’t going to be the walkover everyone here thinks.

Lewis would take this fight seriously. It would be a big UK showdown and Lennox would KO Joshua early to mid rounds

Plus, Joshua wasn't/isn't as bad as people have decided to rate him. He's probably overhyped, but the guy is still quite good.

Joshua would be among Lewis's best opponents, so we are not necessarily looking at a crushing here.

He was better than Ramhan for example.

Lewis would quite rightly go into the fight as the favorite, but the Joshua of the Klitschko fight would be dangerous for him.

Joshua's problem, is that Lewis would likely reach the same conclusion, and prepare accordingly.

I'll add one more thing that Joshua is going to have going against him, Lewis is going to have Steward in his corner.

And of course, he still has a vote in the fight!

Lennox generally did well against large slow moving hitters and neither Joshua’s chin nor defense are that great. I will say that his skills improved a bit after that Ruiz loss. And his punching power has always been a force to be reckoned with. But for now I’d have to make Lewis a heavy favorite.
