Good interview, be better if Usyk did more often & is asked different questions for a change like he did here.
We predicted the fight, but in the end I just hope for an attractive and fair fight without strange decisions by the referee...
Usyk: I have learned a lot. The coach watched the match many times and still watches it now. We will work out the combinations that we will use in our rematch. I cannot tell you all the secrets we are working on, but the coach and I saw a lot. That quote got me shook, AJ is in for a world of hurt!
I'm hoping for Usyk to win since he's my favorite boxer right now, and if I were a betting man that's who I'd bet on. Honestly though, I'd be okay with AJ winning it - as long as it was a fair win. No robberies or BS stoppages. On a funny note, last night I dreamed about a pretty interesting result. No, I'm not one of those people that puts stock into dreams or anything like that (before Fury-Wilder III I dreamed of Wilder winning by TKO in the first round after Fury fell and hurt his ankle, then refused to continue, so I definitely don't have accurate boxing dreams, haha), but this is too funny not to share. In the dream Usyk won by disqualification in round 5. Both him and AJ had knocked each other down prior to this, then in the fifth round AJ hit Usyk with a body shot that caused him to take a knee. Then he hit him with a right that actually knocked him through the ropes, and he hit his head and was unable to get up from it despite trying to. I remember being pretty angry because I thought AJ would get it from that, but then they announced Usyk as the winner via DQ 5 and I got happy again. That'd really be something.
Bet on an Usyk T/KO first time around (a rare misfire, but only just), betting heavier on the same outcome this time around.
Sounds good. What are the odds on an Usyk tko/ko this time around? I am thinking about betting on an Usyk win (odds are 1.47 here in Canada, which means i can make 147 dollars for the 100 that i invest; thinking about putting in anywhere from 500-1000 dollars on this one) I haven't looked at the odds of the Usyk tko/ko. I might consider it if the odds are good.
Just checked, currently 2/1 or slightly better here in the UK. Odds were nearer 3/1 when I put my money down, with most books offering 13/5 (I had to spread my stake across a few), but 2/1 is still value enough in my estimation.
Yeah agree it's 1.53 here with one of the betting sites with Usyk, I am tempted too as i have missed a couple of easy wins this last year which still irk me, Even when i'm sure who will pull it through i still end up having my doubts due to the timely corruption with the judges, dq, possibility of a head clash, covid, etc.
