    Good.

Now he'll stop holding up the division.

What's he holding up exactly? Usyk and Joshua haven't even rematched yet.

If you want some place to heap blame for holding up the division, you should look to the Wilder camp and/or ReMatchroom. Guys on this forum have given themselves the impression that Fury is somehow stalling proceedings by the sheer force of their own emotional overreactions to his every utterance, when, in reality, he's been the one waiting on other parties to get their acts together for the larger part of the last thirty months.

Potentially all good for Usyk. Can reign at the top for a few years, just won't make the bread he could have from Fury.

Fury is scared of getting beaten. That's why he ducks serious contenders, such as Klitschko and Usyk.

Even though there was a rematch clause, Fury ducked Klitschko twice, he made up a depression story.

And now he is using the retirement card, at the age of 34. If you were so desperate to get retired, why did you try to fight Chisora? Maybe because you thought it was a cherry pick?

We're talking about a man who frequently kisses the ground in his fights. He's just scared of getting beaten.

Well this time I hope it’s permanent!

Let’s bring some reality to the Tyson Fury record and his placement, or not, within the ranks of the Great Heavyweight Champions

His career started as most Heavyweight careers start, fighting journeymen, but with a little less volume than most.
His first real test came in the first John McDermott fight which most observers believe he lost but was gifted a win.
No real challenges after that until he fought McDermott again, this time winning decisively.
Again he returned to fighting Club Fighters and no hopers until he fought and beat Derek Chisora on points
Back to fighting bums before a step up and a difficult points win over Kevin Johnson then a real scare when he was floored by Cruiserweight Steve Cunningham
Back to the Club fighters again then another win over Derek Chisora & then Christian Hammer both via retirement

AT THIS POINT FURY HASN’T FOUGHT ANYBODY OF NOTE
In truth he hasn’t looked particularly good in beating his opponents and certainly isn’t displaying any signs of greatness.

We then get the Wlad Klitschko win and Fury being crowned World Champion but let’s have some perspective. It was without doubt the worst version of Wladimir seen since Corey Sanders, he was ageing, bored and distracted. It was also THE WORST Heavyweight Title fight in living memory but Fury won, away from home and he had dethroned the dominant Champion of the previous decade.

Retirement, addiction and mental problems followed before Fury fought a couple of bums and was cherrypicked by Wilder.

It’s important now that we understand Wilders placement as a HW Champion, his record is abysmal, the most protected, untested and overhyped in the whole history of the sport. He cherrypicked Fury because he was desperate for a NAME on his resume, who better than the undefeated Ring Magazine Lineal Champion, the man who dethroned Klitschko. Never mind his 3 year absence, ballooning to 440lbs, coke and alcohol abuse and suicidal depression, Fury had a name and was beatable (or not).

The Wilder trilogy was compelling but in reality it was a contest between two overhyped and over rated super heavies but Fury did the business and in the 2nd fight he looked at his very best albeit against a damaged and exposed fraud of a champion in Deontay Wilder.

Fury then disposes of Dyllian Whyte in fantastic fashion, in what was probably his best ever performance, dominant and with a magnificent KO.

    Retirement again and again
So who has Fury fought and beaten to be talked of as an all time great, where are the scintillating performances that elevate him to a place alongside Ali, Louis, Lewis, Marciano etc?

The answer is they’re not there, Fury’s claim or that of his followers simply doesn’t stand up to scrutiny

Tyson Fury has done well, he’s undefeated and has made enough money for 10 lifetimes but he has not secured a place amongst the All Time Greats not even close!

he is 34 & very wealthy & has his health & family . does not owe you anything. he does not owe you another chance to see him get beat.
he does not owe you to end up brain damage for your pleasure. he can retire whenever he likes. is his life, his job.
as boxing fan, look to the boxers who are active and forget about retired boxer!

    This is wrong.

The fights against Chisora and Hammer were incredibly impressive. As was his near shut out against Klitschko.

    Don't want him back. It's a fighting man's sport.
