I think it's about the right time to look back on this 'documentary' shown on british tv back in the 90s with their progeny about to go to war..
it was a good watch back in the day, I'm Gonna watch it again later. :)

    Enjoy..

I remember watching it at the time. It’s hilarious to me that *spoiler alert* Benn winning thought that it evened the series between them.

It wasnt in the 90s it was in 2003.
I thought both guys still looked good physically considering they were years in retirement and enjoyed the show.
Benn really wanted to win haha.

@janitor do you think you'd be able to take them under your sports rules judging from this film?

I don’t think Eubank really trained for it.

    Benn took it mega serious!

It got a lot of hype. Maybe as much as the second fight!

The revisionist hype going into their sons fight is bad even for boxing.

Going into the fights, IMO, the hardcore thought fight one was going to be good, but the mainstream were a little cold, as Eubank was not proven, while Benn was coming off his American run.

Fight two was a big deal mainstream fight, but the hardcore generally figured Benn was damaged goods, and Eubank as a class above.

Fight one was indeed an excellent fight; fight two had the atmosphere but apart from being interesting in that it was close, the fight quality and indeed action was average at best, and that comes from someone watching from a nose bleed seat.

What was curious to me about fight two was from my terrible view, I scored the fight 10-2 Benn and thus at the time, even as a rare Eubank fan (I like the Villains) I was embarrassed at the decision; but watching it on video after, I had it 6-6.

What struck me about this show was how incredibly emotionally immature Benn was, he came across as an absolute idiot. Even to this day when I see him interviewed I think he's a manchild.
