Was Anthony Joshua the mega fight that we never got

AJ was a far bigger star than Wilder before his loss to Ruiz but he was unknown in the US to casual fans, Wilder was more known in the US but was nowhere a household name, the fight would have done really good PPV numbers but nothing record breaking and neither fighter was elite, neither had proven that they were great fighters, Usyk is better than both of them, but I would prefer to see AJ v Fury than Fury v Usyk, however I am super hyped for this AJ v Usyk rematch, Wilder just wasn`t good enough despite Fury constantly cheating against him by holding after hitting and grabbing him in a head lock to put all his massive weight on Wilder causeing him to gas, Fury is massively overrated despite being a big star.

Usyk vs Fury could very well end up being an absolute snooze fest. Joshua vs Wilder would be very exciting.

 

Count how many times he held Wilder after punching in their third fight, and you clearly saw Fury grabbing Wilder in a head lock and leaning on him.

 

AJ v Fury could be the biggest boxing match in history, Fury is a huge star and both men are hugely famous in the UK, it`s a far bigger fight than Wilder v AJ, Wilder is damaged goods.
