So I've been wanting to see Loma fight for years now - was planning a trip to the Garden to see the Commey fight, but since im not a cuck and don't have a vaccine pass I couldn't go. I'm also not willing to pay thousands to see him fight Haney or Steveson tbh. This is the perfect chance I think... and probably the last chance. Imagine TopRank will turn things around quickly with a February fight for all the belts against Haney (Loma is the #1 contender for WBA and WBO). Loma will have just turned 35. Then they'll shoot for a late year fight against Shakur Stevenson. If he wins both those fights he's an ATG and probably retires end of next year. A LOT on the line.
I wouldn't call Ortiz a tune-up either. He's ranked 9th in the TBRB. I'll give Lomachenko credit: He's fought nothing but top 10 contenders, world champions and former world champions since his pro debut.
You would think, at least now both of them are at least open to that idea of fighting him more than they were in the past especially Haney, with Loma going through Injury after injury & getting up in age too, intriguing fight either way.
He's facing a legit top 10 ranked guy as a tickover fight for the undisputed title fight next, what's the problem here?
