I think you need to add a fighter’s will to the equation. I don’t dislike or disrespect Pacquiao at all he is an all time great but intangibles ultimately make the difference. It is my pleasure to debate with you. Your intelligence, good nature and the fact you are a classy gentleman all come out in our discussion. To often people on here let themselves down by resorting to abuse. One of the things I consistently point out about Pacquiao is that inability to really suss out Marquez. In my opinion Marquez was better than him not because his physical skills were better but his ring IQ was better.

We don’t know that at all. Knocking everyone out does not mean you are better than another fighter who may not be a knockout artist just means you are a better knockout artist.

We do know how great he was. He was a 7 year pro when he passed. He set a record for most 1st round kos to start a career. He was a world champion. He not only beat every single opponent he faced, he knocked them out. That isn’t promising, that’s greatness personified. He fought in many countries and different continents. That’s exactly what a world champion is. People come to see knockouts. He provided that every single time he fought. That’s domination. 27-0 27kos>>>everyone else’s record.

 

He was very good but what I am saying if you took a step back and comprehend is that his premature death actually denies us knowing how good or great he could have been hence!

 

There's no way Ward is greater than Pac. Is he more skilled? Probably in a more conventional way. But Pac did things Ward could only dream of. Not to mention, Pac had 72 fights. Ward didn't have half of that. Nor did he accomplish half what Pac did. Being undefeated don't mean ****. Ward's resume is NOT strong.
