Fury could announce he's not retired on Friday. Then what?

Fury could announce he's not retired on Saturday morning. Then what?

Fury could announce he's not retired on Sunday or Monday. Then what?

Tyson Fury is the World Heavyweight Champion. If you want to become the World Heavyweight Champion, you have to beat him.

    It's not brain surgery.

It's too late for any u-turns. Tyson Luke Fury - the gangly knock-kneed fruitcake - has officially retired this time.

If he wants his status as Lineal champion or Ring belt back, he can **** off :deal:.

He officially retired and was stripped. He WAS the World HW Champ. Now he's an unemployed gypsy...

Of course it won't be difficult to do. Fury has retired his claim. It's done.

Then nothing. Fury has retired his claim.

You're right, it ain't surgery. If Fury wants to be 3 times champ, he needs to beat the winner of AJ vs Usyk.

This is why Fury was the challenger against Wilder, and not the defending champion.

Even Joshua doesn't believe what you just wrote.

Ring isn't supposed to STRIP anyone. They are supposed to recognize who the World Champion is.

They are acting like a sanctioning body. If they want to be that, then they lose whatever value they actually possessed.

Tyson Fury is the World Champion. Anthony Joshua said even if he wins Saturday, he has to beat Fury to become the champion.

He hasn't officially retired. He's yet to send a letter to the WBC informing them that he is no longer their champion. He has until a week from this Friday.

Guess what WON'T happen next Friday?

Wild guess? As Fury works out in the gym posting videos of how he'd beat Usyk?

    Do you seriously believe that?

Nobody does. Not even the people arguing in this thread.

Fury has defended against Wilder and Whyte since Joshua and Usyk last fought. He'll likely fight again before the Joshua-Usyk winner even gets back in the ring.

Fury took a couple months off for vacation, spent some of his money, now he's back in the gym showing how he'd destroy Usyk.

He's waiting to see who wins Saturday, then he'll say that's who he wants next.

Two weeks from now, we'll be talking about Fury vs. the winner of the fight Saturday for ALL the belts.

For the life of me, I don't know why boxing writers (paid and non-paid) want to play "sanctioning body" ... because it always blows up in their faces.

Until he says he's back and will fight again, doesn't matter what I believe.

He literally agreed with what I just wrote.

Frazier was champ, but to prove he was the best he needed to beat Ali (he did)
Holmes was the champ, but to prove he was the best he needed to beat Ali (less said about this the better)
Charles was the champ, but to prove he was the best he needed to beat Louis (he did)
Johnson was the champ, and to prove he was the best he needed to beat Jeffries (he did)
Patterson was the champ, but to prove he was the best he needed to beat Marciano (he didn't, Rocky stayed retired)
Vitali was the champ, but to prove he was the best he needed to beat Lewis (he didn't, Lewis stayed retired)

Honestly no idea is there was ever a call for Sharkey or Schmelling to fight Tunney tbh.

The winner of AJ vs Usyk is the champion, but of course if they wanna be the best they'll be expected to beat Fury.

That's the way retiring champions work. They go out on top. There's a big "what if" when the vacant championship is filled.

    No

If Fury has retired which he isn't "officially" then the broken lineage requires more than a single win to take claim to it.

Nothing indicates to me Fury is retiring for real...I am a Furyologist.

Wow an interview where AJ comes across normal and likeable.
