    He was speaking russian all his life, just like his father and children, and their ancestors long before that.

    He is thinking in russian and don't have enough vocabulary to speak ukrainian. Someone who knows one of the languages will understand.

    Sad thing is that he is doing all this just for the media, pretending. which is very dissapointing.

    Usyk is from Crimea, and almost all population of Crimea speaks only in russian or tatar.

    He and Loma were on official traitors list not long ago, because they were following russian orthodox church and they shot in religious movie about faith and brotherhood.

    When a man wears the Ukranian flag, openly speaks the Ukrankan language, puts his career on hold and decides to bear arms and fight for his country the last thing I would do is call him disloyal to his mother country.....

    He abondoned his fathers language, which is a big thing in the region where he lives.

    And he is doing for the media.

    I understand his country is going crazy, but Usyk was the last person who I would think to do that kind of thing, after what politics of Ukraine has done to him, all the damage he took from them.

    Loma is still loyal to his fathers roots. Let's see if he will do the same in the future.

    I don't doubt that Usyk has been placed under considerable pressure to fall in line and promote 'the message' since this NATO-sponsored Russo-Ukrainian war deal kicked off.

    I don't hold it against him. I suspect his feelings are simple and apolitical, i.e. that he really just wants an end to orchestrated brother wars and to be left alone.
