I really like Usyk as a fighter but to me he still hasn't proven, he's any better than Chris Byrd was at Heavyweight yet. Who was also another skillful Heavyweight Southpaw. Based on Usyk's achievements overall of course he ranks higher than Chris Byrd, but if were talking purely about Heavyweight then no i don't think so. Skill wise obviously Usyk looks the part, but again i want to see them skills tested against other top Heavyweights, before i make a real opinion of him at Heavyweight.
Obviously not everyone, and this isnt directed specifically at the OP.... but I just always find it funny how many fans hate certain fighters and give them next to no credit as quality fighters, but then turn right around when the fighter they like beats them and claim it as some great achievement and start making proclomations off of it... as if they didnt just spend the last half a decade pissing all over the abilities of that same fighter lol. Yes Usyk must be the best since Ali because he beat a guy half the forum thinks is a heartless, gutless, mentally weak body builder. Makes sense. ..... To the point though, I cant rate Usyk over Fury, Wlad, or Lewis. But regardless.,, even if he is top 6 since Ali, thats still incredible.
No, he might be the best of this generation, but this generation already seems slightly inferior to the previous one.
No, as a heavyweight he's not better than even Fury. 1. Holmes 2. Lewis 3. Holyfield 4. Wlad 5. Foreman 6. Mike Tyson 7. Tyson Fury 8. Riddick Bowe 9. Vitali 10. Usyk if Wilder or Joshua don't do anything significant before they retire.
Skill wise ? Then yes you have to say for any fighter who has ever fought at heavyweight he has to be the most skillfull since Ali. He's the greatest cruiserweight of all time imo. Hoyfield will get the credit but as tough as he was he didn't have a patch on usyks skill. Best, however is a whole different argument and just like saying Ali, Lewis or tyson Is the best it's a totally pointless conversation with no answer.
