He won't. You shouldn't feel disappointment over a situation that hasn't even occurred. Now you're sounding like you don't really want this bout to materialize. Usyk wants Fury, and only Fury, for good reason. They are each the other's great, career-defining rival. This is the fight in the division, and we are going to get it.
I have a strong belief that this fight will happen. There is too much money and legacy on the line to not fight each other. Fury and his wife probably already had the discussion and she will not hold Fury back. Usyk will plow forward no matter what. It’s up to the promoters to make the fight now. When it gets made, I see it as a 65-35 fight in favor of Fury.
I don't want to have to wait another year to years and a half, which is always what happens with Fury. If Fury will be sensible and accept 50-50, then sure. But I think we both and all know that it is not going to go down that way.
As the bigger draw, Fury will expect a bigger share, you are correct. And Usyk will accept that. I don't anticipate any serious impasse where it concerns the split.
And I don't believe he will or should. Maybe 60-40 if Fury can convince him that the overall will be delivered. But Fury will demand 80% or something. We will see.
didn't Fury already say he's unretired right after the fight lol This content is protected the fight is happening
The only thing Fury can do is lean on Usyk and tire him out that way, otherwise he is not as quick as AJ and won't land alot on Usyk. Wilder just stood there last time and had no legs.
he will manhandle Uysk unfortunately. Fury is a complete different level from AJ. Id prefer Uysk to win though
Fury-Usyk for Undisputed is coming in 2023. My anticipatory ardor is already stoked and no man's twopenny misanthropy will quell it. Having said that, as one who feels no jaundice toward either principle and only esteem for both, seeing one of them take an L will make the event a little bittersweet for me. But it's the fight to make to define this heavyweight era, so it must be.
If Fury refuses the fight, Usyk should retire and focus on his family, he made a lot of money, won everything and doesn't need to prove himself to anyone anymore. This is just my opinion...
Footwork? Angles? Elusiveness? I rate Fury very highly but Usyk can certainly trouble him to say the least.
