It’s exactly what he was trying to get across:

    1) He draped himself in the Ukrainian flag. He’s not from Ukraine. Explain that.

    2) His beef in this video is with Loma, who is from … you guessed it, Ukraine.

    3) He is saying Usyk’s boxing didn’t beat him. He also asks Usyk how did you beat me … implying it wasn’t from his boxing in the ring. He’s wanting Usyk to admit he didn’t actually win and it was because of the war cause.

    4) He threw the title belts out of the ring in a fit.

    5) The focal point of his strange speech after was Ukraine. He’s either being ironic with the hip-hip-hooray (like in his mind Usyk’s win is a charade because the judges were sympathetic to the Ukrainian cause, so he’s trying to point this out by saying ‘well let’s give a big hand to the guy because his country is under attack even though we know he didn’t win’ … OR he’s realized at this point that the world is sympathetic with Ukraine so he thinks with some Rocky IV speech — which he doesn’t realize he cannot deliver — he can drape himself in that same cause and come out looking like a hero … keep in mind he’s delusional.)

It all adds up. He absolutely does not think he lost the fight. That’s why he stormed out and trashed the belts. So he thinks it’s because of the sympathy for Usyk because of the Russian invasion. That’s why he’s focused on Ukraine after the fight and not on what happened in the ring.

The only one who embarrassed himself is AJ.

Seriously, what in his entire postfight drama gives you the impression that AJ believes he lost? Everything he did was screaming ‘I did not lose this fight, I should have been awarded the victory.’ So he’s suggesting there was something else at work here with the judges.

Like I said, stop embarrassing yourself. This comment is way more embarrassing than anything AJ ever said.

It is clear to any rational person that in that video AJ is absolutely furious with himself for losing, and that Lomachenko is trying to console him by saying he boxed well, and that AJ is not buying any of that crap. He basically said that if he boxed well, he would've won.

    It's not that deep dude...

He is upset he lost the fight that is what is at play not that he he thinks he was robbed which he never said. He worked so hard, did better yet it was not enough is the source of his disappointment.

    Whatever.

No way did he think he lost. If he had, he would have accepted it. He trashed the belts because he thinks they’re rightfully his. He grabbed the mic like he was the winner and told Usyk to step aside because he thought he won … and figured other people wanted to hear from what he thought was ‘the real winner.’

What in all his words and actions said, ‘Usyk beat me fair and square’?

Did he not tell Usyk to his face: “You didn’t beat me”?

I thought he did this when Ruiz beat him. This is a habit with him. He’s been the star attraction his whole career. Even in defeat he thinks he gets to talk before everyone else. AJ takes the limelight and behaves like he still won.

I think a bit of perspective is in order.

Throwing a mean tantrum on a mic isn't even in the top 10 questionable things that heavyweight champions have done.

We've had champs who ducked people based on skin color. Mobbed-up champions. Champions who beat their significant others. Champs who participated in fixes. Assaulted normal people in barfights. Fought for Hitler. Bitten people in the ring. Advocated segregation and condemned interracial marriage. Cheated on their spouses. Multiple lineal heavyweight champions have been criminals. And on it goes.

Extend the scrutiny to contenders (which is what Joshua is), and you've got ALL kinds of crazy, thuggish, "classless," pick-your-adjective behavior.

So yes. Joshua's behavior was bad. But in the grand scheme of things, it's not very impressive.

I think AJ did most of this already …and then slung the belts and took the mic from Buffer!

taking the mic from Buffer without asking is a new low. Even by boxing standards.

I just read his Wiki, and y'know, he checks more boxes than I thought.

I stand corrected. Carry on, then.

You did not beat me with power you beat me with skills. Boxing is not about strength or power. If you are going to quote him then quote him accurately and in context.

Did he not say ‘boxing skills didn’t win this fight’?

So if he thinks he lost (there’s no indication that he did, which is why he threw the fit — he thinks he was robbed) then what does he think he lost to if not skills, power or strength? Usyk’s hypnotic smile and winning personality?
