Usyk has no power and, when Louis realises this, which shouldn't take him too long to figure out, he would simply walk through him. I was impressed by Usyk's title defense against Joshua, saw the highlights on You Tube. But Usyk took some right hands, an effective weapon against a southpaw, he does need work on his defense. If he had fought a prime Joe Louis and got tagged by those right hands thrown by Louis, Usyk would have visited the canvas, Joshua is no Louis, even though he is much larger. The old saying goes something like this, The Bigger They Are, The Harder They Fall. Usyk really does not have time on his side, he is 35 years old, Father Time has a knack of creeping up on older fighters, and don't forget that Father Time is undefeated too, he has crept up on past greats before, defeating the likes of Joe Louis, Muhammad Ali, Larry Holmes and countless others. Usyk needs activity, an older fighter needs to be active to keep his skills sharp compared to younger fighters. But it was a good win for Usyk, he needs some more fights to sneak into the conversation against past greats.

True, but it's well known poor performance from Louis. He usually stopped bigger fighters quicker and he also stopped Conn in rematch quicker.

Usyk wont let him set

 

This is a ridiculous statement. If Joshua could set and even stun Usyk and slow him down for a little bit, then Louis is more than capable of doing the same. The difference between AJ and Louis as punchers is enormous, their power is relatively similar but Louis's hand speed, accuracy when hitting vital spots, combination punching, killer instinct and infighting eclipses Joshua's by a mile. It's almost insulting comparing the two.

Joshua is a methodical big man with considerable power who relies on using his long jab to control the tempo of the fight and then put himself in a prefferable range to attack, hurt his opponent and win. Usyk's superior jab and agressive mobillity as well as Joshua's lack of killer instinct and infighting skill allowed Usyk to find gaps and close the distance, thus winning both fights. But look at how well it worked for Joshua when he went to the body in round 9, he just didn't have the killer instinct to build on that and thus usyk punished him back later on.

Louis on the other hand was a counterpuncher. Mobillity would surely help Usyk if he were to fight him, but that's not enough. Usyk used pressure in order to make Joshua hesitate on leading, thus allowing Usyk to take control of the tempo and allow himself to do what he did. Louis would have made Usyk lead instead, thus opening him up and leaving him vulnerable to punch. And unlike AJ, Louis has the killer instinct and the infighting skill to do what AJ did in round 9, capitalize on it and maybe even end it. Usyk does have a great defense which would surely help him in any fight, but Louis has the punching abillity to catch him and hurt him as well. It's a winnable fight for both men if they fight the perfect fight. But saying that Usyk trashes him as you did earlier ? That's beyond delusional.

Usyk schools Louis just like Ali or Holmes would. And Mike Tyson or Foreman would KO Louis in a couple of rounds. Louis had good fundamentals but by god, was he stiff as a board. He was lucky he didn't fight any southpaws based on him struggling with them in sparring, let alone an ATG southpaw worh excellent movement like Usyk. Before you are done you should watch the Louis vs Galento fight and watch a fat piece of **** bouncer put Louis on his ass in the third round and then ask yourself, do I really know what I am taking about or am I a 24 year that doesn't know **** about boxing.

Again, Louis was great in his era but stop overating him H2H with modern fighters.

 

I’ve got no problem with you picking Usyk here, I’m not sure about who wins here myself. However that one utterance should disqualify you from ever contributing to these boards ever again.
