Leigh Wood v Mauricio Lara

Seems like a good little card. Lara is very overrated and won’t trouble Wood more than Conlan did. If any of you guys watched his previous fight it was a highlight reel KO but he looked very average.

Wood surprised me against Can Xu and Conlan so I’ll back him this time to get the job done.

I really hope we can see Wood and Warrington in a unification fight next year.

 

If Lara lands as cleanly as Conlan landed on multiple occasions, he'll certainly trouble him more.

Dangerous assignment for Wood.

Didn't Frank Smith say that it was something else yesterday in an interview.
As in not Wood vs Lara.

 

Lara is very heavy handed and Conlan couldn't miss with the right hand.

Albeit, I don't think Lara can set the right hand up as well as Conlan but he still needs to iron the flaw out and be extremely switched on defensively otherwise he'll get wiped out.

 

Isn't this a farewell fight for Terri Harper in relation to Matchroom ? I don't give Harper much of a chance to defeat Rankin. She can't match her physically and mentally.

He’s wild and all over the shop throwing punches but Wood will be in trouble if anything starts landing consistently.Everybody thought Conlan was tippy tappy and look what he done to Wood.Good fight though and Wood can win but he will have to be on it.

 

Did not know Terence Harper is jumping from HMS Matchroom.

I agree. Looks like a quality card from Matchroom. Both Wood and Harper risk losing their fights.
