I like to imagine in your early years here you were a 70s Foreman a hostile powerful and knowledgeable poster that has since mellowed out like Old George to play possum to deliver the sneaky super 1-2 post.
AJ via UD. He wins on points, but he'll have to fight in a safety first manor like he did against Ruiz in match 2. If he slugs, he gets taken out like Cooney.
I agreed until the last part. Rumble Ali was past his best physically but still a brilliant mind and tough as nails. I feel Joshua would cave in under young Foreman's pressure in the early rounds, and get took out Lyle style by declined Ali. But is Joshua good enough to use his physical advantages to out box comeback Foreman... absolutely.
I'd still favor Joshua at this point. He is more skilled than guys who managed to outbox old George. As long as he doesn't try to trade or just stand there he should win more often than not. But if AJ suffers another ko loss, that might change my opinion. He's so stiff and doesn't move his head, perfect for a guy like George who loved to throw that long telephone pole jab and clubbing right cross.
Bumping this thread. Joshua has been exposed as a fraud. His "skills" are overrated. He couldn't even use his size advantage to lean on Usyk.
Dead meat. Unless Joshua runs around like a scared hoodie, destroying the remains of his reputation, he gets clipped bad. Foreman might not often look pretty, but he learned from literal top 3 all-time greats of their divisions -- Archie Moore and Sandy Saddler. He was damn effective even at that age and understood the game like Joshua never will. That and he could not only crack like a dynamite, but also take hellish punishment. It's also pretty sad how miserable Joshua's long guard is compared to that of Foreman's. Levels.
