    Tyson Fury
    Oleksandr Usyk
    Anthony Joshua
    Deontay Wilder
    Dillian Whyte
    Joseph Parker
    Joe Joyce
    Andy Ruiz
    Luis Ortiz
    Frank Sanchez
    Daniel Dubois
    Arsalanbek Makhmudov
    Filip Hrgovic
    Zhelie Zhang
    Ivan Dycho
    Martin Bakole
    Tony Yoka
    Bakhador Jalalov
    Michael Hunter
    Jarrell Miller

Thats 20 decent to elite level operators and that isn't including Zhan Kossobutskiy, Otto Wallin, Jared Anderson, Fabio Wardley, Kubrat Pulev, Derek Chisora, Hughie Fury, David Adeleye, Oscar Rivas, Lawrence Okolie, Artur Beterbiev, George Arias, Helenius, Kownacki, Charles Martin, Efe Ajagba....

This heavyweight era is solid. Those that say this era is weak need to provide an era that was as deep as the era today or stop spewing nonsense that this era is weak.

No. I bet this era would be most competitive than any other since 60's

    No, not at all.

It has atleast two ATG HW talents in Fury and Usyk.

AJ and Wilder are as good as you'll get for consistently top 3 rated HWs over a decade.

This has been a great HW era, better than the 1990s. You're going to get a full unification in a functional round robin among the top 4. Fury and Usyk each beat their top opponent twice, decisively. And everyone fought in their primes or very close to it. That's really what separates this era from the 90s.

I think the next wave looks dire. Hrgovich doesn't have it, Yoka obviously is a non-factor, and Jalolov is good not great. Joyce is too old, and Parker and Whyte have a lot of miles on them at this point. There are some good talents like Jared Anderson, but I was much more excited about the future of HW back in 2014 than I am now.

I think we should appreciate this era.

Fury, Usyk, Wilder & Joshua may not be the four horsemen of the 80's, but they're fighting each other. Fury vs Usyk is going to happen. Wilder vs Joshua will likely happen in the future. All 4 guys are ATG or on the verge of ATG.

Honestly, what more can you ask for? The top 4 guys of this era are fighting each other and they gave us some of the most exciting match-ups in the last few years.

No its a very strong era. We used to think there was a big 3, Wilder, Joshua and Fury and now we have a big 4 with Usyk. Great era.

Heavyweight boxing is good right now.

This era started with Fury, Joshua, Wilder, and Parker. Once there was the unknown of who of these four would be the last man standing.

Joshua beat Parker then there were 3 left.

Fury and Wilder had their epic war. After that Fury was the King of the division.

Meanwhile Joshua lost to Ruiz and appeared maybe not the be the best of class.

Usyk emerged and Joshua tried to redeem himself but lost twice to Usyk.

Now we are getting the final chapter between Usyk and Fury.

Fury, Wilder, Joshua, Usyk, and Parker all looked like potential Heavyweight rulers at some point and they have actually been fighting each other.

For all the hate Joshua is getting right now last fight was a very high level boxing match and both the winner and the loser showed great skill.

Besides Fury and Usyk who is left worth mentioning ?

Not the bodybuilder or the one trick pony.

Of course it is look how Joshua is rated on here. Look how many belts and title defenses he had. Fury is also a donkey, the guy ran away went on a bender in fear of Klitschko. Klitschko would have smashed him in the rematch

I believe so. The only way is find out is to compare and contrast with the level of Heavyweight boxers form another decade.

Most people consider the 1990s to be a weak era for Heavyweight boxing. A similar top 20 for that decade would look something like this:

    Lennox Lewis
    Evander Holyfield
    Mike Tyson
    Riddick Bowe
    Buster Douglas
    Vitali Klistchko
    Oliver McCall
    Michael Grant
    Frank Bruno
    Razor Ruddock
    Carl Williams
    Ray Mercer
    Larry Donald
    Henry Akinwande
    Herbie Hyde
    George Foreman
    Željko Mavrović
    Pierre Coetzer
    Francesco Damiani
    David Tua

Which decade do you think is stronger between the two?

I'd place David Tua ranked around 20th place on the 1990s list and I'd favour him to beat everyone form this decade except Fury, Wilder, Joshua, Usyk and Joyce.

The heavyweight champion is a cruiserweight. What do you think?

Heavyweights pre 80's were mostly cruiserweights.

Today's era begins with the departure of Wladimir Klitschko from the scene.
It could have been one of the best eras of heavyweights if a few things hadn't happened:
    1. not happening the best fights (Tyson Fury - Oleksandr Usyk, Tyson Fury - Anthony Joshua, Anthony Joshua - Deontay Wilder...).
    2. Corona pausing.
    3. Tyson Fury's retirements.

Thus, in one of the best Heavyweight eras, they had the opportunity to be champions: Bermane Stiverne, Joseph Parker, Charles Martin.

With that logic, the same can be concluded for the heavy category of the 90s and the case of Evander Holyfield.
