If I remember correctly, he predicted a knockout in the Richard Dunn fight, in 1976. I believe he even predicted the round.

Cool thing about that fight, Ali’s right looked pretty fundamental and flashy, or maybe I heard the story and I’m imagining things? I don’t think it was overly comfortable to Muhammad but supposedly he got Karate guys in to help sharpen his right hand and he threw from the hips more obvious then usual.

    That is funny.

Muay Thai guys were stealing Ali’s footwork as well. He was probably one of the few boxers that showed up on TV over there maybe? I don’t know.

Even Bruce Lee admitted he liked Ali's footwork and started trying it out. He was a pioneer.

Did you see the movie "Once Upon A Time In Hollywood"? The Bruce Lee scene was the only scene I didn't like.

He was popular and everyone wanted to copy him his footwork isn’t new or even good, just flawed.

We will have to disagree. It made Bruce Lee look like a clown. He also was a friend of Ali. Everything else was great. I live about five miles from Spahn Ranch.

Ali's footwork wasn't good? Are you mentally ill?

Not a cultist. Apropos of nothing he taught Karate to Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. There's pictures of them on the internet training.

While that is the case, Ali's 'dancing' was unique to him. Ali spent entire rounds in perpetual motion. only stopping to gain leverage in his punches, draw counters, or taunt. usually he fulfilled all three purposes at the same time.

Point being though no one else spent rounds dancing like Ali. To pull off prime Ali's style authentically requires an absurd amount of stamina and athleticism- but you know these things, you just play contrarian on Ali threads lol.

His main source was actually “Boxing” by Edwin Hasilet, funnily that was inspired by Dempseys.
