It's not that Audley and Joshua are on equal levels. It's that Joshua is closer to Audley than Bruno for the reasons I mentioned. Hell, an undefeated 15-0 Audley may have won the title if he fought Charles Martin, too. Bruno would've killed to fight Charles Martin for the title, and not Tyson and Lewis.
hard to say. he's certainly better than Frank and certainly worse than Lennox. maybe about halfway between, honestly...
I think i remember you saying something idiotic like Hrgovic looking better than Lewis and Ali That statement aged like absolute crap. Recent events should let you know the eye test isn't everything. Practically every boxing historian knows Lewis was great, whether they think he's overrated or not. Your boxing knowledge is limited and honestly not trust worthy
AJ is between a very good Bruno and an ATG Lennox. He does not have the mental strength or intelligence of Lennox. He does not have all the Lewis skills but he is actually more skilled than Lennox was pre-Steward. Lennox had a way of understanding the best way to successfully sort of sell out on his defense for high risk/high reward assaults on his opponents when things weren't working for him. That's a very underrated ability in a champion. For the times when it's just not going to afford you a decision victory opportunity, when it is simply not going to go your way unless you can do dramatic work, Lennox knew how to step in that azz and force wins to happen. It's fair to say some of that was having Steward directly in the corner to motivate it or snap him into it but Steward could try to do that for guys who had the physical tools like a Jermain Taylor who couldn't mentally execute on that advice, despite being physically capable. Lennox could. He had analytical ability on how to deliver risky when delivering relatively safely was a failure. It's possible you can't train that into a guy. It's not just a guts thing-which AJ has shown plenty of-but a gear-shifting and intellect thing.
Probably a little bit, maybe (but Carnera had 72 KO's in 89 wins). Check it out This content is protected
Further strengthened by the fact that votes are almost evenly split. That said, I think Joshua is closer to Lewis than Bruno. But a closer parallel would be Ken Norton. Always close, but no cigar.
