Currently fighting on Sky now and has been chinned in the 8th round. On unsteady legs... They have open scoring and the ref has been ridiculously biased towards Marku. Took a point off his opponent for nothing after he’d dropped Marku and then the bell went early with Marku in trouble.
Aye in Albania. 15k in there. Marku has won on points but plenty on Twitter had him losing. Score cards were a joke. Ref protected Marku heavily and took a point off his opponent for nothing as well as the bell going early when Marku was in trouble. In a nut shell, Marku is shyte and the Albanians are dodgy fookers.
It was not a good performance by Marku. His distance judgment and timing were off for large parts of the fight.
Marku got gifted a decision. I only had him winning four rounds, which includes the 10-8 scored for him because of a knockdown. It didn't look like a knockdown, more of a slip. The ref even stopped one round early when he was getting a pasting.
I probably scored it 5-5 in rounds which results in Marku edging it by a point because of the deduction and dodgy knockdown... with a decent ref I’d have had him losing.
I had him winning but it wasn’t clear and the knockdown was questionable. Also noticed the bell going early, dodgy but it only went about 5 seconds early and he wasn’t on the verge of being knocked out, so I reckon it was just incompetence/not being able to hear it. He finished the fight well but not the best performance. He’s obviously limited.
Skimmed through the livestream Sky have put on YouTube earlier. Marku is all hooks and inside fighting. Any decent boxer with good movement will easily outpoint him by boxing long.
Writing was on the wall after the Jamie Stewart fight. If Grant Smith can't improve him he's probably hit his ceiling. No skin off my nose as he's about as likeable as a rub of Tabasco in your eye
The rounds ending early or after the bell happened many times during the whole event I think they just had a **** time keeper Nonsense KD, nonsense point deduction, nonsense reading cards out in-between rounds, it was all rigged for him to win Never been so disappointed
