Reading that Lewis retired at a perfect age of 37 made me think that Usyk should considering retirement swell.

Lewis was a boxer who relied on his weight, height, reach and power to be king. That is attributes who doesnt go away with old age.

Usyk on the other hand is already 35 but he relies on reaction time, Twitch muscle fibers and stamina. Those are attributes that are much harder to keep up going at 30+ than in younger years.

So with all this in mind and the logic that Lewis retired at a good age would also apply on Usyk right now. Heck with that logic I almost think Usyk should already have retired as soon as he won the undisputed at cruiser weight.

I just want to check peoples logics and standards.

    Usyk is 35 not 37

By the time he's 37 he would've already fought Fury. And i don't have a problem with him retiring after the Fury fight whether he wins or loses.

I would love for him to fight Fury and if he beats him, face Wilder and beat him. Retire after those two.

I don't believe the Fury fight will happen. They aren't going to shell out 500 million and Fury will stay retired.

Usyk should fight an easy mando or two, and then beat whoever ends up with he WBC belt.

But he has said that he wants Fury or retirement, and I respect that. It is really what he wants.

His boxing style is much more demanding than box after the big man formula.

Every fighters age doesn't follow a specific formula so if Usyk doesn't look greatly declined then your point is moot

Lewis already become undisputed before retirement and stacked his resume up. Different scenario regardless. If Usyk wants to retire before fighting Fury so be it, but it's pointless since undisputed is right around the corner and Usyk is still in excellent condition.

    Usyk wants Fury anyway

Usyk wants to retire, it is Fury or retirement.

    He puts Fury over retirement

If he can't get Fury then he'll retire

After he beats Fury, maybe defend all the belts one time and then retire.

Everyone has to retire someday. They either do that following a loss and some people label them 'overrated' or they leave the sport on their own terms after a win and those same people claim they're ducking (insert name here).

I think his last fight will be with Fury, and if Fury doesn't step up to the plate, his last fight was last weekend.
