I often wonder about Team GB.

The Sheffield setup is there to provide amateur medals and nothing else - the elite amateurs get paid about 30 grand to train there and not work.

Compare that to people who came up through amateur gyms the old way - they might not have the preparation and coaching specific to Olympic success but they were probably better-prepared for later life. The current ex-GB boxers seem a bit too media-polished, a bit too up their own arse and a bit short of the top pro level. Hope I'm wrong but that's how it's looking.

I used to think Jordan was a daft posh *****, but willing to admit I was wrong. Watched a fair bit of him these days and agree with just about everything he says.

 

Always thought the set up held joshua back as a professional. The way they trained him with constant information ended up to his detriment. Left him almost unable to think or fix things for himself.

Well he is too pro Fury however a lot of what he said about AJ is true, there are too many yes men around him telling him that he`s the greatest thing since sliced bread.

He says a lot of things I disagree with which comes across as he detests athletes. On this specific issue I am more in line with Tony Bellew’s comments. Simon Jordan has a hard on for Tyson Fury. Even claims Fury would walk through Usyk and knock him out. Easier said than done.
