Undefeated with wins over Wlad (old but still dominant), Wilder and Usyk plus Whyte and Chisora... It depends on how conclusive the win over Usyk is, but if it is very clear then he passes the likes of Liston and Vitaly for me.

This is based on resume. So far he has looked pretty formidable h2h but from a pretty narrow data set of top guys and I'm not very in those comparisons anyhow.

 

A clear top 10 all time in terms of greatness.
And probably even better H2H, perhaps even top 5.
Even if we go by the premise that there have been more skilled HW champions, his size alone and the fact that he knows how to take advantage of that, make him a huge threat for anyone.

 

He's an automatic top 10. His career will definitely be better than that of someone like Frazier.

 

A certainty for the top 10 heavyweights of all time. And one of the best British fighters pound for pound,ever.
There would be a major debate as to who was the greatest British heavy ever between Fury and Lennox Lewis.

Lennox has such a deeper resume. I don't think any single win would make it close at all.

i think might be that persons dismiss Usyk as only great cruiserweight. but very ordinary heavyweight

 

I'd agree, they've achieved different things, but as heavyweights I think they are reasonably close. But I think Usyk will make several credible defences until age catches up, whereas Fury would continue the circus.

So I think Usyk would likely ended ranking higher if he wins.

Fury has just been far too unwilling to regularly fight credible opponents, to really face the diverse challenges and consistency that really makes for true greats.

Edit: I don't see either the Whyte or Wilder wins aging as great wins. Wilder held a title, but his resume was pretty poor, with his best wins coming over guys with awful resumes themselves. Take away the WBC belt and the Wilder wins are a lot less significant.

Whyte had some good names, but had had things go his way to get them, and get KOed by a shot Povetkin already. I really don't see Whyte as any higher level a fighter than Chisora, though more consistent. After his efforts against Sokolowski, I don't see the Otto Wallin fight being great in hindsight either.

Honest opinion, I can not see 2 decisions win with against AJ aging too well also.
AJ will not be remembered as great fighter or durable.

 

I do not believe Usyk likely to put together title reign if he beats Fury

& even if he did who is there to fight? there are no young fighter heavyweight boxers notables
