he barely makes Top 10 SUPER - Heavyweights nevermind found among the Best Heavyweight's throughout history.

 

Joshua has a deep enough body of work, that the win is credible regardless of what happens in a way wins over Wilder and Whyte aren't IMO.

Pit Fury against even half of these, as he has fought No One and see where that leaves him.

Heck just look at some of the Opponents these S-HWs faced, far better than Fury can even imagine, many of them!

 

While I certainly agree with this, on the flip side of the equation Wilder doesn’t have losses to guys like Ruiz on his record.

 

If Wilder and Fury had fought Joshua's line up of opponents, I think both would have been pretty likely to have picked up a loss.

If he puts a reign together and defends against the likes of AJ, Parker, Ortiz, Ruiz, Joyce, Dubois etc I'd probably have him top 3 lock.

 

I respectfully disagree. Especially Fury. I don't really see anyone giving him to much trouble on Joshua's conquests when he's on.

That's exactly why a consistent run of wins against good opponents counts for so much. Everyone will have off nights and bad match ups.

 

If Usyk and Fury retire I can see Joshua cleaning out the rest of the division, if he retains the desire and gets the fights. A Joshua that still has desire is a clear favourite against Whyte, Ruiz, Hrgovic, Ortiz, Zhang, Parker etc imo. Joyce and Wilder would probably be his stiffest challenges, but I make him a favourite there as well if he stays motivated. I think AJ's last performance against Usyk easily was his best, Usyk is just that bit better. Has that extra mile in the tank and seems too tough and skilled for AJ to KO.

So if Joshua still sees sense in continuing and stays motivated I can see him being seen as a really good also ran of this era when the dust settles. And Usyk's wins will age well.

Tbh I can see Joshua beating Fury also (not saying he would, but not a big reach for me), but don't think he'll ever get the chance.

Well stated. They both need a bit more. Amazing how “great” people think they are but they have beat so few people. I tend to rank Usyk higher especially if he wins that match. He def could use three more solid wins though.
