Direct me to the era where all possible matchups occurred, especially mid era. Btw Ruiz—Wilder is likely in the pipeline.

Well, it's not more than Foreman but I understand your point. I have always thought of Foreman as a great heavyweight but not a great champion. Liston was a very good to great heavyweight but, again, not a great champion. Both Usyk and Fury are working toward that. Certainly, at this point, Fury is much closer than Usyk. He has considerably more wins against good to very good opposition. I think of Usyk in the same way that I think of Gene Tunney. They are all-time greats if not THE all-time greats at a lower weight class but haven't done enough at heavyweight to be consider an all-time great.

Based on what exactly? Compare everything both fighters did, with and without a Usyk win, and explain why Fury is just so confidently ahead of Frazier. And not to sound snippy or anything but it would help you to not use arguments like "They just look better, trust me" (without demonstration), and "They're bigger and stuff".

Also no i'm not gonna derail the thread by talking about h2h. Just in terms of greatness.

ALL possible match ups can never be made...

but a mouth piece with NO Real Opponents bar ONE, who is trying to say "He's the Best!" well with eitherside of 35 fights a True Champion should have atleast a couple of greats and another 4 - 5 TOP Names, At Least, NO?

Fury’s top wins are already up there with anyone’s. He’d be undeniably great if he beat Usyk. He’ll probably never have a long resume though. Then again, people around here rank Foreman and Leonard extremely high.

We have done threads on this. The amount of fights where ranked men meet each other per year is at its lowest point in history over the last twenty years. Where we used to get 5-9 fights a year of ranked HWs we now get one or two. It’s a terrible state of affairs for the sport and worse it makes it harder to truly rank men. If I have time I’ll search for the thread

AJ fought Wlad, Povetkin, Whyte, Ruiz,Usyk, Parker, and more. He attempted to make fights w the others.

Big fights and contenders fighting each other are separate issues. The big fights are more likely to get made.

Fury fought Wlad, who had not lost in 11 years, so you can cross that off
AJ fought Whyte for vacant British title, not a world class level fight at time, for the title vacated by Fury when he went off to beat Wlad
& Fury has since fought Whyte
so you can cross that off

Ruiz was not a top 10 boxer when he faced AJ and smashed him
AJ needed rematch with Ruiz to have any credibility
Ruiz is only considered a good win because AJ lost to him badly

Povetkin good fighter but 39 age

    Depends.

Let's take Rocky for example, He's in most top ten lists. I nave him at 5 all-time, and some have him at 3.

Now if we look at Usyk's cruiserweight resume, they are all or nearly all, bigger men than Rocky fought at HW.

And if we ignore Rocky's lesser competition, he has about 11 to 15 very good wins, not too far ahead of Usyk, if we count Usyk's best CW scalps, he has close to the same.

Now Marciano has a (faded) Louis and a Walcott and a Charles.

So I would still Rank Rocky ahead of Usyk, even if he beats Fury and Wilder.

But I believe, h2h, Usyk probably beats Marciano, and all of his competition

So maybe Fury, Wilder and two more decent scalps would force me to consider Usyk ahead of Rocky with just 24-0-0.

    Being cheeky there.

That would be a great fight. Joe's footwork would be tested.

Beating a 35 year old man 50lbs lighter and 6 inches shorter does very little to alter Fury’s wafer thin resume. The same cannot be said for a Usyk win though…

It would mean that he's beaten three of the four top guys since Vitaly retired. That's not bad at all, problem is how thin it gets with the second tier fighters of this era.

PRE Wlad, Fury's biggest opponent was the Boxing Public, but the Money Men, the Media and the Hype took care of that...

Before & Since Klit - NO One, did he even deserve that fight?

Was there a better Contender then Ranked Higher or Passed Over??

Did Boxing Politicking & Money ROB the Boxing Public once again???

Nothing against Fury the Man, EVERYTHING against Fury the Fighter!!!
