This is stupid even for you. A lot of guys lose fights they would have won nearing the end of their careers.

You’re still waving the Wilder Pom poms. Half those guys were at the tail end of their career. That matters it’s a sport not a video game.

Want to compare Wlad’s resume and Wilders?? Hmmm

I'm not waving anything. You guys keep bringing up Wilder. I don't start Wilder threads every day ... like everyone else around here does. I just comment in some of them.

You bragged about Wlad's "legit" contenders ... and I pointed out that those "legit" contenders have a pretty shitty record against Wilder's opponents even the same year (or before) Wlad beat them.

    Which, they do.

I think Wlad was a great heavyweight champion. I don't rate Wilder above him as a champion.

But, as a puncher, I DO rate Wilder higher.

Fair enough. You always defend Wilder and I’ll give you credit on that. That’s your guy. I don’t rate Wilder or his punching power on Wlad’s level but at least with his power it can be an honest debate.

Of course he was when it came to skills. But Wilder was always a more explosive puncher than Wlad hands down.

Joey Dawejko and multiple other sparring partners actually claim Wilder hits harder than Klitschko so take that as you will but the gap in power is insignificant and Klitschko packs 6 times the skill and 6 times the resume.

That's awkward because Wlad stated that Wilder was one of the best men he ever sparred and seemed to favour him over Joshua, despite being a massive AJ fanboy.

Wlad always said nice things about bums. He is liberal what do you expect from him.

"Wlad was head and shoulders above Wilder in every way possible"

Except...right hand power, speed, length, agility, stamina, chin, confidence, heart, fighting instincts, ferocity, unconventionality and ease of underestimation.

"Wlad's resume makes Wilder's look like a club fighter"

How many points does Wlad lose for getting destroyed by a journeyman and two fringe contenders? How many points does Wilder gain for 2/3 of his efforts against Fury being more competitive than Wlad's effort, where Wlad broke the all-time record for fewest punches landed by a champion in a 12 round fight? Was Wlad's best legit win (Haye? Byrd 1? Peter 1?) a better or more dangerous opponent than Wilder's (Ortiz 1) because it's very questionable. And Wilder's career is still ongoing.

McCline and Gassiev, who I regard as fairly reliable, claimed that Wilder punched harder than Wlad. Overall this is not correct as Wlad had one-punch KO power in both hands. But in terms of the right hand, the power is certainly comparable and Wilder is said to have greater speed with his right.

In any case, the narrative a few years ago was that Wlad's contenders were all bums in "the worst era ever". Now the narrative is that the days of Wlad pulverising absurdly overmatched challengers like Mormeck, Leapai and Pianeta, safety-first points victories over Sultan and Haye and holding and leaning his way to a disgraceful decision win over Povetkin was some kind of quasi-golden era, superior to what we have now. It just goes to underline the wisdom of the view that eras tend to be viewed far more favourably after they're long gone.

Unlike Wlad, Wilder never got destroyed by any "bums".
