Is Anthony Joshua the most overrated champion of all time?

Fury beat a long reigning World Champion, Joshua fought an old man at 41 years of age after 18 months inactivity.

The Fury win v Wlad was an absolute stinker of a fight.

 

How can he be when Ezzard Charles was once champion?

 

Yeah yeah. Wlad was old in both. You said it, long reigning proves my point. He was ready to be taken out. Good win for Fury, but not as impressive as his fans make it out to be. I can garuantee if AJ dethroned Wlad first, haters would use Wk's age as a way to discredit that win. Especially if the AJ fans put as much credit on it as some Fury fans do.

No disputing which fight was more entertaining. Just pointing out how Fury fans give so much credit for that win, yet fans discredit AJ's win. Wlad shwedd he had some good stuff left in that fight, but it was time to go prior to Fury.

No, I don't think he was. Everyone has expectations of fighters during their career but AJ has been an underdog now for the last 4 years of his career.

He was stunned badly by Whyte and Povetkin and he was dropped by Wlad.

Enough was shown in the Wlad fight that a younger Wlad would be a shoe in to knock him out.

AJ has always been an athletic super heavyweight with bone crushing power, who has been vulnerable.

So no, I don't think he's the most over rated ever.

For me, that tag belongs to Riddick Bowe. An incredibly thin body of work, but a consensus ATG, none the less.

 

Joshua can lose his next 6 fights by violent KO and you'd still pick him over Lewis

All i see is pure hate that he achieved things Joshua never will in a million years

 

Except that Joshua has never been violently KOd and Lennox has. Stopped in the fetal position vs Rahman!

Also Rahman and Lennox both look terrible in that fight, adding insult to injury.

 

But he's lost more times in almost half the fights. And his resume is far inferior. Joshua was reduced to a damn crybaby after he got dominated. It was pathetic. And he got his ass beat by a morbidly obese leprechaun not to long ago. The most mentally weak champion I've ever seen. Even Joshua's TRAINER said Joshua is mentally weak. Thats lets you know

Joyce has a better chin than Lewis, so does Zhang. Doesn't make them better.

 

Joshua doesn't have to be better than Lewis to be less overrated than him. Although I have to say that Lennox's resume is insanely blown up in much the same way as Joshua's, except to an even more extreme extent where he beat more "champions" than he beat people who were rated in The Ring at the time he fought them.
